The Neapolitan style pizza was excellent, the duck breast was out of this world, easily the most tender and textured I’ve had, the seafood stew had great flavor and a peppery kick, and the chocolate and hazelnut budino was truly decadent.
Most of the students were putting a lot of effort waiting the tables and did great. I really take my proverbial hat off to the students in the kitchen.
The atmosphere is congenial and welcoming, while maintaining a traditional Tuscan style.
The food is simply delicious. From the calamari appetizer to the dessert sampler featuring traditional rainbow cookies and cannoli, every dish was beautifully presented.
We particularly enjoyed the Arancini and Porchetta.
Service was friendly and attentive (our server recommended the standout porchetta – right on!)
This is a very popular restaurant, rightfully so, and I highly recommend reserving well in advance.
Our server didn’t really seem to know how to be a server, friendly enough, just not very confident or attentive. Still, the food and atmosphere more than made up for it. Overall, a really great experience and I’d definitely come back.
The setting was gorgeous – like dining al fresco in a piazza. The server was attentive and very accommodating. But she ended up recommending dishes that we didn’t like – for example, the frito misto while sounded good on the menu, was just a plain old fried calamari…where the crispy and crunchy parts were missing.
The portions were very generous, and given it was a 3-course menu, we ended up taking a whole bunch of food home.
The desserts were the highlights! It was great that the five of us all got different ones to try.
