My daughter lives in greenville and have been wanting to go to this restaurant so her and my son picked this place to celebrate my husband’s birthday! We are from Syracuse NY. The owner/ chef is from Northern Italy and the food, atmosphere and service was like being back in Italy again! The wine, food, desserts are the finest! David our waiter was funmoninal! This resturant is a must visit when in Greenville to get a taste of authentic Italian food, wine and atmosphere! A’more!

Lovely restaurant, great atmosphere and the food was fantastic. I had the scaloppini con porcini and my husband had the duck. I’d describe the scaloppini con porcini as an earthy, robust and brilliant dance of flavors. Everything was cooked to perfection. There was a large amount of food as well. We had smoked salmon to start us off, just like the rest- it was perfect. So fresh and delicious. Lastly, I have to mention their Amalfi margaritas and how delicious they were as well.

We have dined here several times and always find it to be an excellent choice. Their selection of all Italian wines is superb. Their food, especially their pasta selections are outstanding. Our waiter (Michael?) was excellent. He made some helpful selections, gave a sample of the wine before we chose it, and was very personable. The atmosphere is cozy and has the feel of a European restaurant. Bergamo is the best Italian restaurant in Greenville!

Hadn’t been in a minute, so we thought we’d go back on a Tuesday evening. Table #1 (right in the window at Main and Coffee) had a party of four, so we grabbed the 2-top next in the window. The ambience is pleasant and has been consistent for several years. We started with a glass of house Chianti each- very nice, not sweet nor overwhelming. The basket of bread and olives, as always served with oil on the table and balsamic on request, just perfect. We split the Caprese salad “di Bufala” (made from Water Buffaloes found only in Italy) and perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes. Chef Gian Pietro Ferro spent a lot of time chatting with the regulars at table #1, preparing and serving an appetizer and then serving and slicing the main course. When in several trips back and forth to the kitchen he didn’t even acknowledge any of the other tables in the room, we felt like we were dining in someone else’s dining room. Jeanette had the salmon, Farfalline in vodka sauce, and I had the carbonara that surprised me visually, but was the traditional preparation with pork cheeks, eggs and cracked pepper. That’s when a very pleasant dining experience ground to a halt. Both of our entrees were so salty they were just shy of inedible. Since our server didn’t ask why we left so much on the plate, and the chef was otherwise entangled, we didn’t have the opportunity to share our opinion. Until now, of course.

One of the best restaurants in downtown Greenville! The food is se magnific and delicious! The service is just amazing and the staff members are quite friendly and courteous. I enjoyed the food as it was very flavorful and just down right DELICIOUS! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to have a great taste of Italy in South Carolina. If you need a nice place to take your fiance, husband, or wife, this is a great place!

We recently celebrated our mother’s birthday at Ristorante Bergamo, and while the food was fresh and delicious, the highlight of our evening was our incredible waiter, Monte. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure our mother felt celebrated and special. His attentiveness, warmth, and exceptional service made the night truly memorable. Monte took care of every detail, making sure everything was perfect for our celebration. If you’re looking for an upscale dining experience with top-notch service, ask for Monte—you won’t be disappointed! We’ll definitely be back.

First time here and was very impressed! Our show at Bon Secours Wellness Center ran about an hour later than expected so we were very late for our reservation at Ristorante Bergamo but they were very understanding and accommodating and was able to seat us at the bar. Very fortuitous actually as we had a delightful conversation with the bartender, Michael who has no political ambitions but is an excellent bartender and very personable young man. Our minestrone really hit the spot on a cold December night and was filled with freshly cut vegetables including blistered cherry tomatoes which added a nice depth and richness to the flavor of the soup. The fresh, warm bread was delicious and available with a serving of green olives and EVOO that was a cut above as far as EVOO’s! My wife had an arugula salad that was also very fresh and delicious while I went with the veal scallopini and an assortment of sautéed vegetables of various kinds. This is Northern Italian cuisine of the highest order! Very rare in the Upstate as the greater majority of Italian restaurants in the area is either Southern or Sicilian Italian which leans more on tomato sauces and hard cheeses. Michael’s suggested wine pairing went well with my veal and porcini mushrooms which was greatly appreciated. Excellent dining venue and experience.

Absolutely wonderful.

I took my dad here for his birthday knowing how good the food and drinks are here and knowing he did not. After the prosecco gratis, appetizers, entrées, desserts, drinks, and attentive and caring service, I knew I’d made the right choice.

Our waiter, Justin, answered every question and made sure we had the best experience possible. It would not have been the same without him.

If you want to make your loved ones feel special, or if you want to have the best meal this side of the pacific, come here!!!

in town for a couple days from Charleston, wanted a nice place with good food for a night out. this place is awesome. We sat on an elevated platform for 2 tops, made a great atmosphere for us to converse away from bigger tables. waiter Tim was right on time with suggestions every step of the way….wish I could come here all the time and try everything!
