Executive chef and owner, Davide Giuliani, was born and raised in Rome, Italy and had his first cooking lessons in his grandmother’s kitchen. Growing up in a culture where food and wine are celebrated topics of conversation on a daily basis, he couldn’t help but develop a true passion for cooking. Davide furthered his homegrown education by attending pastry school and becoming a certified sommelier. Pasta, desserts and wine education in Italy combined with fearlessness determination earned him a one-way ticket to the United States. All of his success resulted in the opening of Ristorante Bella Roma in Helena, Montana.

What an outrageous find!!! The owners are from Italy and make authentic dishes with unmatched flavor! My only piece of critical feedback would be the length of the service which was roughly 2.5 hours. Still, best 2.5 hours I’ve spent at a restaurant in years!!!

We loved everything about our experience here. The service and the food were both top notch. We ordered the fillet, rib eye, veal, pasta amatriciana, and steamed clams. We also preferred two cocktails. Everything was executed to perfection. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The entire family was very pleased. They even picked some fresh flowers for our little girl. Go here if you have the chance!

We were trying to find a place to eat and Helena shuts down early on the weekdays. The owner was SO welcoming and offered us eggplant parm and their famous lasagna! We were treated so well and the host and server were the sweetest. Will definitely go back to see Francesco and his amazing team!!

I’m just in Helena for a couple of weeks and let me tell you from someone born and raised in Italy, this is where you need to go for authentic Italian food. The owners are extremely nice and welcoming, just like the staff! The food is prepared just like the one I would find back home, and the ingredients are extremely fresh. I ordered a caprese to start, the balsamic vinegar and oil were extremely tasty and so was the side of focaccia. For a main course, I decided to go with Ravioli Al tartufo, you could taste the flavor of the truffle in the white sauce. The ravioli were filled with 5 cheese mixure and topped with Parmigiano reggiano. To end my meal, I ordered tiramisu (tasted just like the one my parents make) and a caffè lungo

Cannot recommend here enough! Everything we got from start to finish was incredible! We tend to have high standards with Italian restaurants, having spent a few years living it Italy, and this place did not disappoint! They were busier than they expected, so they were short staffed, and wait time was lengthy, but it was absolutely worth the wait.

Great place to eat in Helena! Had the 4 course dinner which was well worth it! Everything was amazing. My boyfriend and mom had the rib eye which they both loved. The filet mignon had a lot of pepper that I had to scrape off because it was difficult to eat. The desserts were great and so was the service.

For the first time my wife and I experienced the Italian ristorante Bella Roma, this last Valentine’s Day. We had searched hard for a place to go for a great steak, and the local steakhouses didn’t have great reviews, so we opted for Bella Roma, and chose the 4 course meal for two! It was in the building of a hotel, which was a little weird for such a fancy place, but I guess that doesn’t matter.
