Executive chef and owner, Davide Giuliani, was born and raised in Rome, Italy and had his first cooking lessons in his grandmother’s kitchen. Growing up in a culture where food and wine are celebrated topics of conversation on a daily basis, he couldn’t help but develop a true passion for cooking. Davide furthered his homegrown education by attending pastry school and becoming a certified sommelier. Pasta, desserts and wine education in Italy combined with fearlessness determination earned him a one-way ticket to the United States. All of his success resulted in the opening of Ristorante Bella Roma in Helena, Montana.

Food is excellent, atmosphere just fine but it’s so loud. For some reason the waiter was talking so loud. And the service was OK except when we were almost done our plate was almost empty when the waiter passing by just grabbed our plates he didn’t even asked if we’re done eating. With this attitude this place is not considered “FINE DINING ” Restaurant.

What an outrageous find!!! The owners are from Italy and make authentic dishes with unmatched flavor! My only piece of critical feedback would be the length of the service which was roughly 2.5 hours. Still, best 2.5 hours I’ve spent at a restaurant in years!!!
The appetizer we got was my least favorite, only because I’m used to larger portions, no fault to the restaurant. Delicious regardless.
We ordered the lasagna, the gnocchi, and the veal. All 3 were incredible. The gnocchi was by far the best gnocchi I have ever had in my life. The cream sauce was out of this world. I was scooping up every morsel of cream on my fork and spoon. I would have kicked the plate clean if it wasn’t so busy and people would be staring at me. The lasagna was at least ten fluffy layers of velvety smooth pasta, cheese, and sauce. Some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The veal was unfortunately over salted, but still quite good. The dessert was also a great way to conclude an epic meal!

Wow! This please is amazing, the food the staff and the atmosphere are all 10/10. We had the veal and pappardelle with wagyu meat and it is honestly the best meal we have had in the states yet! The chefs are incredible. We arrived late at 9pm and still received amazing service and didn’t feel rushed in anyway. A special thank you to our waiter Liam who was welcoming, funny and a great guy. Highly recommend and might even come again tomorrow!

Traveling thru Helena & wanted Italian food. We used the app to make RSVP. We chose to be seated inside but wish we would have taken advantage of the patio area for dining because the weather was perfect. Mariia was great as our Server. Food was prepared like a true Italian restaurant, pasta, meatballs & desserts all made fresh in-house daily.

Great place to eat in Helena! Had the 4 course dinner which was well worth it! Everything was amazing. My boyfriend and mom had the rib eye which they both loved. The filet mignon had a lot of pepper that I had to scrape off because it was difficult to eat. The desserts were great and so was the service.

Wow! An hour before they close we walk in and they say we are closed. Close after last reservation. Cool. Way to lose at least $100 in revenue. I can’t even comment on food or service because they refused to serve us. Will never even attempt to go there again. Worst place ever and I’ve been on multiple continents and all 50 states. Unacceptable! I don’t care if it’s 5 minutes before close you don’t deny customers service.
