Fresh Fresh Fresh! One of the best spicy Ono poke bowls I’ve had. (Their Ahi was sold out, but the Ono was not second, that’s for sure!) Kimchee cucumber salad and the Abalone salad were both delicious! I got their double because they can and it was so worth it! Amazing grinds guys! Will definitely be back!!

Had an amazing experience and lunch! I am gluten free and had the spicy ahi and garlic shrimp and it was phenomenal, one of my best meals on the island. I met the owner and she was so kind and helpful, had a lovely chat with her. She let me know what was gluten free and even double checked the ingredients. She also had gluten free soy sauce as well! I would highly HIGHLY recommend going if you’re in Kapa’au. Freshest poke I’ve ever had!

Poke was delicious, reasonably priced and the service was fantastic. We visited on Thanksgiving and got a complimentary slice of pumpkin pie. Eating in the patio out back is very nice. We will be back!

If you’re on this side of the island, you must eat here!! Our story: We were exploring this side of the island for a day, and we found Rising Tide when searching for local poke spots. It was the only one, and had few reviews, so we were a little skeptical.
On our way out of town, we stopped in and were told there was no Ahi as they were waiting for their delivery (she explained they only buy from local fishermen because that’s the only way you know you’re getting the highest quality fish. They also get weekly shipments, and we were there the day it would arrive, at its freshest!). Based on that alone, we were intrigued… We went across the street and shared a plate at L&L, then we checked in one last time before leaving town and by the grace of God the Ahi had arrived! In our weeklong trip we ate at 6 different poke spots, all highly reviewed. Rising Tide was by far the best. The quality of the fish was out of this world. If you eat enough poke, you have seen all the different options and ways poke can be served. Rising Tide is simple with great sides, letting the quality and freshness of the ingredients speak for themselves. I never write reviews, but this wasn’t just our favorite food of the trip, it was one of our favorite experiences, so I felt compelled to share it here.

Small spot with a fridge full of proteins and sides so you can build your own poke. I had the piolo meat and it was great! The staff was super friendly. There are just a few tables inside and some outside, but we took our food to a nearby park, which was also a great option.

We tried poke at 5 different locations during our stay and this was some of our favorite! Fresh and locally caught, family owned, and a served with such warmth by the owners. We were offered a sample of their cured beef, which we deemed delicious and promptly added to our order. Very affordable compared to similar places around Kona. If you are in the area be sure to stop! They also have a full menu of daily specials and fresh cooked hot entrees as well.

By far the best meal we had on the Big Island and the best Poke anywhere. The fresh catch was marlin, so we had wasabi and chili something poke bombs and the poke nachos. We visited on the recommendation of our guide at kohala zip line. It’s worth the drive no matter where you are on the island
