Her team answered all my questions and always laid all my concerns to rest. And Theresa’s recommendations were the best! The day was perfect! This place is something of a local institution. My first experience was a high school dance back in 1977. Dinner tonight seemed a little off. Maybe it was the chef’s vacation week. There were no dinner specials which are often the best part of the menu. Our favorite appetizer is the smoked salmon, but they didn’t have it. Sometimes they server oysters on the half shell, but not tonight.
The bus boy literally wanted to take our dessert plates while we were still eating. There was no cappuccino or espresso available for dessert. Approach with caution until they sort this out; we won’t be going back anytime soon.

Wonderful historic inn! Bison on the walls and menu. History in and on the walls. Upscale dining room, or relaxed tavern, or sit on the enclosed deck. Get there early for the special deals, they might run out. Wonderful venue for private party!

This is a beautiful Inn in Telford. It is kept in pristine condition but the best part is the food. It is excellent. I’ve never had a bad meal there. Made a reservation for my mother in laws 92nd birthday and what a disappointing experience. We arrived around 6:20 and was the first table to sit in dining room. (Most people on bar and deck because it was wing night). 3 or 4 tables were seated soon after us and that’s what we did, sit! Finally a waitress came into dining room 20 minutes later and asked who was seated first. We raised our hands and gave her a drink order. After another 25 minutes and not receiving our drinks or taking out food order, I went to look for someone to send our waitress to dining room. I got alot of attitude when I questioned why we were waiting 40 plus minutes for drinks. Overall service was extremely slow and bad. People were getting up and leaving when they couldn’t get waited on. Apparently wing night is all about that. The bar and wings. Kudos to the awesome young bus boy who was the only one hustling!

I had my wedding at Rising Sun Inn about 6 months ago. Theresa herself was amazing! She made everything about my day stress free. Due to the weather we had to move my ceremony inside, and she could tell that I was stressed about having the ceremony in the barn where the reception was. Being the amazing person that she is she was able to make their enclosed patio look absolutely beautiful for my ceremony (the night before). Her staff was amazing as well, One of them even went out of their way to MAKE my 3yo chips! Everyone loved the food, and I could not have had a better wedding day!

Fantastic atmosphere and fantastic food!! The service was great as well as the wide variety of selections. Drinks were also great and the history of this place is remarkable! The Liberty Bell was actually stored here at some point as well. It’s an amazing place with a great atmosphere, friendly service and food!
