Ordered online from Rising Sun on New Year’s Day for a $120 order. The website quoted 45 minutes to an hour for delivery.
After an hour, no food. I called and was told “it’s already in the driver’s car and should be there within 30 minutes.”
Thirty minutes later, still nothing. I called again and was told the exact same thing, then suddenly it became “the website quoted the wrong delivery times” and it would be another 30 minutes.
At that point we felt stuck, ordering elsewhere would have taken even longer, so we waited.
After two full hours, I called again. The manager got on the phone, told me it would be another 30 minutes, and offered a $50 credit for the inconvenience.
Thirty more minutes passed. Now we’re at 2.5 hours, still no food, and they couldn’t tell me when or if it would arrive. We finally cancelled the order and ordered pizza instead.
Twelve days later, I called to try to use the promised credit and was told that because we cancelled the order, the credit no longer applied. Apparently waiting over two and a half hours while being repeatedly told the driver was “on the way” doesn’t count if you eventually give up.
For the record, the driver clearly never had the food and was not on the way for at least an hour and a half of those calls. We live five minutes from the restaurant.
This wasn’t a delay, it was dishonesty and terrible customer service. We were strung along with false updates and empty promises until we finally cancelled.
We will never order from Rising Sun again. Mo’s Chinese food is way better anyway. We only chose Rising Sun because their site showed a shorter wait time, joke’s on us.

I had the lunch special egg food yung w fried rice, egg roll, Came to about $16.00 the quality of the food is good and fresh. Only complaint I feel they could of put more veggies in their rice. It’s just meat and green onion. I will return to try other dishes.

Rising Sun is the best (and among the oldest) Chinese restaurant in the area! I have eaten here about once or twice a month since they opened in New Lenox (so, 250-500 times) and Rising Sun is the absolute best! Every single order (yes, really) has been perfect, with enormous, delicious portions that always leave us with leftovers. I recommend them so much!

Love the food but online ordering at this day and age should be a breeze. 25 minutes and 3 browsers later still can’t check out. Call in the order and it’s always wrong because it’s hard to understand them.

Our favorite chinese food place closed and we have been looking for a new place. Our search is over Risung Sun is Our new go to place for Chinese food. Orders are large and the food is great what I have eaten so far. Great food here. I advise ordering ahead for pick up. It can get busy super fast.

Made an order for my family of 6, Could not finish the fried rice, it tasted stale like it was a few days old. I tried calling them to let them know but the person that picked up could not understand me and would not transfer me to the manager and ended up hanging up on me. We will not be ordering here again!

This places has humongous egg rolls!!! This places really gives you a lot of food for what it’s worth! Everything was delicious but the lo main, it was to dry but it’s okay because the egg rolls filled me up

Food is overall good I’d say it meets the average criteria for a good Chinese restaurant the crab Rangoon and egg rolls are exceptional especially adding sweet and sour sauce, definitely on the higher end price wise but again overall it’s a good place to get some takeout

The General Tso is not even orange, it’s dark blood red and taste disgusting. The pork fried rice that came with it is super oily and even pools on the bottom of the Styrofoam food container. The food quality has gone down so much. We’re sticking with Mo’s from now on!!
