We chose Rise Sushi to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it could not have been a better choice. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt special—stylish, energetic, and perfect for a celebration.
The highlight of the night was hands down the Lobster Bomb sushi. It truly lives up to its name. The lobster was incredibly fresh and buttery, packed generously, and balanced perfectly with the surrounding flavors. Every bite was rich, indulgent, and memorable—easily one of the best sushi rolls we’ve ever had.
The presentation was beautiful, the service was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall experience made my wife feel celebrated and appreciated. Rise Sushi turned a birthday dinner into a night we’ll be talking about for a long time.
If you’re looking for a place in Boca Raton for a special occasion—or just want exceptional sushi—the Lobster Bomb alone is worth the visit. ✨

I was the client of the restaurant for over 14 years, but this lunch was my last one at the establishment. We ordered tom yum and what we have got was the tom yum pate dissolved in a stock with no lemongrass, cilantro, mushrooms, onions, chili pepper, tomato etc. Later we have got an eel roll, which slices were falling apart because it was a lot of cucumbers and very few peel. However what surprised us the most was the attitude! The waiter said that the chef/ owner did it by himself and tight the sushi pretty well. When leaving, I have spoken to the owner and he said that if I do not know what is tom yum is and that he knows well how to make sushi… P.S. Cutlery was dirty, soya sauce was not served, and extra water was not offered. The place is completely empty, which is totally understandable. Bad experience and sad.

I ordered 2 rolls online for pick this past Saturday. The estimated pickup time shown on the website was 7:55 PM, and I arrived early at 7:45 PM.

After about 20 minutes waiting, I realized my order might have been lost, so I asked her to verify — and I saw her printing my order at that moment. It appeared that my order had never been sent to the kitchen. What disappointed me most was not just the delay, but the lack of communication and transparency.

There was no clear acknowledgment that the order had been missed, and no sincere apology at that point. I asked to speak with the manager, who was visibly overwhelmed while also making drinks at the bar. About 10 minutes later, the manager checked on my order, but by then it was ready, and it was close to 8:30 PM.

I did receive an apology, but there was no real effort to make up for the situation — no reassurance, acknowledgment of the inconvenience, or gesture of customer care.

I understand that Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year, and delays can happen. However, because this level of volume is expected, I also expect better organization and communication. I usually enjoy this restaurant, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve the pickup process and customer service during busy times.

We wanted to sit outdoors but there was no availability. It worked out to sit inside, however. It had a cool feel, not too loud for conversation, and probably better, as the outdoor seating is close enough to traffic to hear it. The people seated inside all looked very happy — lots of “regulars” it seemed. Very yummy sushi! — no one at our table was dissatisfied there. It was the service that was abysmal. Our server literally never returned after our order and we were there over an hour. We flagged someone down for some cutlery, but they didn’t return, either. After a 20 min wait (after having received the food), we finally got forks and spoons from a merciful busboy. We waited a very long time for the server but when she never appeared, we hunted her down to pay the bill. She apologized, said she was overwhelmed, and we didn’t hold it against her. The place was over-packed. Maybe they were short staffed? Management should do a better job so that patrons aren’t neglected and wait staff aren’t overworked. The fish in the koi pond look like the most unhappy creatures, which is very sad. Better to not have them, I think. **management said they were affected by the cooler weather but we were there prior to the cold front that came through the following week. It was an 80degree day…. the fish have only a few feet to swim in. They weren’t even moving.** Mixed feelings about the whole place but the food was delicious despite all else.

Nice outdoor setting, sitting in the swing chair overlooking the lake. Service was good, great sushi. Menu is a bit overpriced, also limited drink selection, no cocktails.

Always make a trip to this sushi spot. Lots of options, and kid friendly food too. The fish is fresh and the combos of flavors you can find something here for everyone to like.

Mediocre food, mediocre service. Had the steamed dumplings…nothing to write home about. Establishment is completely empty and service is still extremely slow. Lunch time on a Friday and a total of three tables are filled. Inefficient and embarrassing to say the least. In addition the silverware was filthy, the serving plates disgusting and the soda water tastes like the hose hasn’t been cleaned. Highly recommend against eating here. Take your money elsewhere.

I’ve visited Rise Sushi twice now.

The first time, it was so delicious and the service was fantastic! Biggest thing to note was that we dinned in.

My second time visiting was a to-go order. I wouldn’t recommend. It’s my fault because by the time we got to eat everything, it was cold. It also didn’t taste as good as I remember.

I love the look of this restaurant. It’s very cozy and luxurious inside, and when sitting outdoors, it’s on the water.

I think I’d try somewhere else next time to give other places a try.

I have been going to Rise Sushi for years. Not exactly sure what is going on with the service there. It is definitely not what it used to be. There doesn’t seem to be anyone in charge there?! What is going on?? The food is always great but the service was awful last night. The meals came out piecemeal which I can’t stand. It’s never good when 3 people get their food and the fourth person doesn’t! It took 10-15 minutes for the fourth meal to come out which is unacceptable. Rise, please get your act together or we will be moving on.

My family and friends went here tonight. JACKIE was AMAZING!!!! If the other servers had her charisma, professionalism and attentiveness, the place would be packed to full capacity every night of the week. Jackie made all the difference in our visit, and we all appreciated her going above and beyond to make us feel like valued customers. We will definitely be back and will tell all of our friends about Rise. Thank you!
