Social Profile:

Rise delivers the Best Dang Biscuits & Beyond daily. Our flaky, buttermilk biscuits are scratch-made from NC-milled flour and 100% butter (no shortening or shortcuts) and filled with savory ingredients ranging from crispy bacon and country sausage to fried green tomatoes and Righteous Chicken. What makes the chicken Righteous? It’s tenderized, brined in buttermilk, fried to golden-brown perfection and then served on a biscuit or as strips with your choice of toppings and sauces. No Rise meal would be complete without our famous jumbo Cheddar Tots, a sweet treat or coffee from NC’s renowned Counter Culture Coffee.

I loved it! You order on a tablet, and they also have a rewards program you can join. I got the Nashville hot chicken, and I love that you can customize every sandwich. I also tried the blueberry beignets the food overall was delicious, but I do regret getting the blueberry ones because the fried blueberries didn’t have much flavor. Next time, I’d stick with the regular beignets.

There’s a small seating area upstairs with only about nine tables, so it isn’t a large dine-in space. Since this location is downtown, there’s no street parking, so you’ll need to use a parking garage and walk over.

We stumbled upon Rise one day while working downtown Nashville.

That was about 2 dozen visits ago, as it’s hard to convince my co-workers to go somewhere else!!

The biscuits are to die for. The meal boxes are crazy good. The sweets? Oh so yum yum!

If you happen upon Rise while exploring Nashvegas, grab you a biscuit or three, Brah!

The service was good and quick. The food was just eh, I didn’t hate it or love it. I feel like it’s a great spot for ppl who work downtown and want a quick breakfast I just wish the food was hot and just more fresh.

Close to Broadway, clean, small place so you don’t really want to sit and stay awhile. When you come in you order through a tablet, which is fine. I ordered donuts, the maple bacon was good (they put a whole piece of bacon on it, that’s the way to do it) and the biscuit dough beignets were so good! Made fresh. Service was friendly. Would try again for the biscuit sandwiches.

I truly wanted to love this place–after all, it’s not every day you crave biscuits. The sandwiches and dishes looked absolutely amazing, so I had high expectations. Unfortunately, I left feeling a bit disappointed.

I ordered the Chicken Box, which came with four chicken fingers. They were just okay–nothing particularly memorable. For my sides, I had a blueberry biscuit, which was decent with a nice glaze, and fried okra, which didn’t quite hit the mark–I’ve definitely had better. The biscuits themselves were drier than expected and lacked buttery flavor I was hoping for.

On a bright side, the maple-glazed donut topped with Cap’n Crunch cereal was a standout–delicious but overwhelmingly sweet. Overall, while there were some highlights, I was left wanting more from the experience. :/

Stopped in before CMS Fest on a Friday morning at 10.45am. Ordering was easily done on a self service screen. Got our order after 5 minutes, they’ll call your name. To go orders can be picked up in cubbies to the right of the counter.
Food was hot and delicious. Chicken was juicy, medium amount of breading. Tots were a little salty but they are seasoned tots after all. Cinnamon roll was small but the perfect size and delicious! Blueberry muffin was awesome too. I’d definitely return!

My husband and I order from Rise a few times a month for breakfast. Biscuits are amazing. He gets the Sweet Country blues, and I get the bacon, egg, and cheese. We also love the glazed blueberry biscuits. One of our favorites!

The food lacked flavor and did not provide sufficient quantity to justify the price. I believe there is room for improvement in both taste and value.

update: my last review was four months ago. the five stars from then went to where they are now. we really have lost how one second of eye contact or a greeting goes a long way. it’s crazy to stand in an empty lobby saying “sir… sir… sir” to the ONE GUY behind the counter directly in front of you and be ignored for something you need; food is TOO expensive for that. how are you at work so DEEPLY buried in your phone and unaware of your surroundings? oh well

first review: the food is great and the customer service will make you want to come back every time!! genuinely a good team that will go above and beyond. i really enjoyed the macaroni, cheese tots, and blueberry biscuit. 🙂
