Rise delivers the Best Dang Biscuits & Beyond daily. Our flaky, buttermilk biscuits are scratch-made from NC-milled flour and 100% butter (no shortening or shortcuts) and filled with savory ingredients ranging from crispy bacon and country sausage to fried green tomatoes and Righteous Chicken. What makes the chicken Righteous? It’s tenderized, brined in buttermilk, fried to golden-brown perfection and then served on a biscuit or as strips with your choice of toppings and sauces. No Rise meal would be complete without our famous jumbo Cheddar Tots, a sweet treat or coffee from NC’s renowned Counter Culture Coffee.

20% order accuracy over 28 visits.

Yes, 28 visits. I keep coming back because the food is genuinely good — and every time I convince myself it’ll be different. But 8 out of 10 times, something is wrong.

Missing items. Wrong items. Missing ingredients. Missing sides. It’s almost always something.

Because of this, I now check my order every single time before I leave. I stand there awkwardly, open the bag, and go through everything. I’m sure it’s annoying for the staff to watch someone double-check their work — but when 80% of my visits have an error, I don’t feel like I have a choice.

Today was no different. The blueberry biscuit was replaced with a regular biscuit. I didn’t catch it until I got to the car, so I walked it back in with the receipt and the incorrect item. They corrected it. Great.

Then I got home and unwrapped my sandwich — no egg.

If this were a one-off mistake, I’d shrug it off. But this is a pattern. I genuinely want this place to succeed because the food is good. But the lack of quality control makes it incredibly frustrating to keep coming back.

Please address the consistency and order accuracy. It shouldn’t be this hard to get a correct order.

Been a few times and the food has been consistent. The blueberry biscuit was soft and was delicious with the vegan sausage! My chicken, egg and tots box was on point also! I was surprised that the chicken was so well seasoned. The only reason I gave 4 starts is because the vegan sausage blueberry biscuit is no longer on the menu. You now have to take the time to “build it” on the menu.

Rise is the perfect spot for brunch or lunch! Everything was fresh and delicious, and the service was great. The atmosphere makes it such a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal. Definitely a new favorite!

Atmosphere: 10/10
The place was small and limited seating indoors, but plenty outside. It’s mainly meant to be a grab-n-go joint. However, despite its small size it was nice instead and super clean.

Food Quality: 10/10
I got the righteous chicken biscuit and the chicken and grits box. They were both absolutely delicious! The wife got the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and loved it as well.

Service: 10/10
It’s mostly self service, but the staff was asking if we needed anything and were pretty friendly.

Overall if you are looking for a quick breakfast this is a good choice. We loved the food and had a good experience. We will definitely be going back.

You are eating in a high rent district, so expect high prices. I didn’t expect this high though. With taxes, my sandwich was over $8, but should be $5, and $4 for a cup of gas station coffee. My guacamole sandwich was good, but not that good. Seating is limited. They are cashless, and you order on a screen. The only interaction you have with an employee is when they call you to get your order. I won’t be back. Waffle House is better.

We tried this place while visiting Memphis for a quick brunch. They have limited inside seating but they have a nice outdoor seating section if the weather permits. They also do not have somebody take your order, you place your order at a touchscreen kiosk. This wasn’t bad just wish they had multiple kiosks as the line was a little long.

The menu is focused mostly on biscuits, donuts, and chicken. We had the following items during our visit: sausage and egg biscuit, chicken blueberry biscuit, and a glazed blueberry biscuit. Every one of these items was good. The biscuits were flavorful and not dry at all. The savory chicken mixed with the sweetness of the blueberry biscuit worked very well together.

The staff was friendly and helpful as well. They were also quick, as mentioned, the line was long but people seemed to get their orders relatively quickly after placing them. Overall, a good spot to get breakfast or brunch and we will visit again.

I don’t get it. 5 minutes spent at a Kiosk to order basically a $10 biscuit. I had bacon, egg, cheese biscuit. The egg, and bacon lacked flavor; however, the biscuit was large, and very dry. Like good thing I bought coffee or I would have choked dry. I would have ordered some gravy to hock it down but they only serve vegetarian gravy. So the only service is handing you a biscuit said to manage cost. So I guess if they had someone up front you would have an 11 dollar biscuit. There is limited seating and outdoors but that doesn’t help in December. For the 28 dollars for 2 coffees and 2 biscuits I think I’ll go elsewhere

Great menu variety for breakfast! We have never been to RISE so we didn’t know what to expect. We did assume there would be more indoor seating. Maybe 10 stools facing a wall instead of facing outside. But I think RISE is intended to just be grab n go..except for warm weather to sit outside. We will be back for the good food. I enjoyed the Guacamole eggs sandwich and blueberry muffin.

Was greeted nicely when I came in the door. Advised to take my time and order at the kiosk when ready. Entered my order and my food came up pretty fast as they were not busy at all. Had the Southern Chicken biscuit with fries. It was just “ok” for me. The bad thing is the pimento cheese on it was cold. Not sure if that was how it was supposed to be or not. Fries were decent. While I wouldn’t order the southern chicken biscuit again, I’m sure other menu items will be better. I’ll be back to try something else.

Got delivery, food was simply amazing. Some of the best biscuits I’ve ever had. Dont skip the jumbo cheese tots either. Gravy is quality and delightful. Chicken is fresh and juicy. Couldn’t ask for a better breakfast
