Stopped for a late breakfast while in town. Could not recommend this place more.
Everyone was friendly, the menu has lots of options, the food came out quickly and hot.
The hash browns were cooked perfectly, and my chorizo omelet was perfect. I ordered it with egg whites, so that is why it is pale.

For a restaurant that gets a lot of positive reviews it must be based on their breakfast business. I ordered a pot roast, which was the daily special. It was more like a soup clear broth no gravy underseasoned no taste. I also had a side of collard greens and I would not recommend that to anyone. Cornbread muffins came with the meal and they were sweet enough to be called cornbread cake cakes.

Pulling up you might be a little skeptical but going in was like being transformed to another place where the customer service was spot on, the atmosphere was cozy and the food was fantastic, for sure a hidden treasure. Our new regular place when we can get away from our busy schedules ❤️

Stopped here traveling through but will come back. They are quite busy but the service is fast. The burgers are awesome! I wish I had gotten one to go. The menu has so many options and the prices are perfect. They serve breakfast all day & it’s good. We ordered a waffle but next time I’m definitely getting french toast. Staff is friendly. Very much the old school diner feel and quality!

We heard lots of great things about this place and have been wanting to check them out, since we’ve been seeing their parking lot always packed.
Also, a friend of ours recommended we go try them out. Food was delicious and enjoyed everything. It’s what you would expect in a DINER.

So real talk. When you pull up to this restaurant and see the attached abandoned building that it is connected to in which I have taken to calling the “murder hotel”, you might have to fight the urge to turn around and burn rubber as your significant other checks the door locks a third and fourth time and your children whine in fear swearing there were ghosts in the windows and they see dead people. However, I urge you to muster up any courage you may readily have available and soldier on to the doors of the restaurant. Once you enter you will be greeted with friendly faces and smiles in a clean a quaint diner atmosphere that is a local favorite. I must admit I have mainly stuck with breakfast foods, which are served all day and so good you’d think they had your grandma hostage in the kitchen. But worry not, Nana is safe at home and happy you are finally giving her a break…for once. Where was I… Breakfast…right. So the pancakes, bacon, french toast, eggs cooked to your specification, waffles, sausage, country ham, grits, omelettes and so much more are the best in a 20 mile radius. The coffee is always hot and delicious, the tea is cold and sweet and everything is always amazing. If lunch and/or dinner is what you’re looking for, you can get that too of course. They make everything from Mexican food to Beef Stew so there is something for everyone; they even have Mexican breakfast dishes. I must preface this again with the fact that I cannot speak on the lunch and dinner dishes due to always wanting that awesome breakfast goodness which should be enjoyed any time of day, not just the mornings. So, in conclusion , gather up the family, force yourself to park, use the buddy system so everyone can sprint to the door hand in hand and and give it a shot. Youll be doing yourself a favor by not judging this book by its cover. It’s The Shining on the outside but Fried Green Tomatoes when you open it up.

The classic diner experience that I have been looking for! Gems like this resturant seem few and far between these days so it was quite refreshing to be surprised by The Rise and Shine Diner. All of your diner classics at a more than reasonable price. Breakfast, lunch, or diner this place stays busy and it’s not hard to tell why. Come and see for yourself!

Update, This is back to being one of my favorite places to go in town again. The women who “took it over” is gone and the people running it now are great and THEY ARE OPEN FOR DINNER now too. The food is still on point and they added a few Mexican dishes for breakfast and lunch/ dinner. I so happy to report this is back to being a must go place in town and you can tell by the growing crowd that that are back. Be sure to stop bye for dinner they are open to 8pm!!
