My husband and I came to Johnston on business and was looking for a place with country food and boy did we hit the jack pot. Literally best fried chicken we have ever had. We also got macaroni, potatoes & gravy and fried okra and the helpings were double what you get anywhere else. I highly recommend The Chicken Place. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely revisit.

Tender combo was reasonably priced, came with 3 tenders, a side, and a drink. They have lots of sides to choose from. The tenders were crispy and juicy, and the honey mustard dipping sauce provided was delicious. Service was very fast, with the chicken in my hand about 5 minutes after opening the front door. I was 3rd in line to order. I’d definitely recommend this over any chain fast food place as the food is excellent and fairly priced, with amazing service. Very down home environment. If you’re going through Johnston make sure to stop here.

I hate to tell you how delicious the chicken is. I fear Chicken place will become too crowded and they might run out of their yummy yard bird. I guess i will just have to eat a heaping bowlful of their bammin baby limas on the southern fixins menu. Cant wait to eat there again.

Always good fried chicken! Took my mom here for 1st time Friday and she loved it so much we went back Saturday. I took my Aunt with us Saturday & she loved it too, her 1st time. We stopped in as we were in the area for the annual yard sale. Will definitely return.
