I was excited to come back before I even walked out the door! Risata is the perfect blend of elevated and cozy, the perfect neighborhood spot. The cocktails were incredible. We had the Black Manhattan and the Negroni on tap and I would absolutely go back for these alone. The beef tartare cacio e Pepe was truly the best I’ve had, and the fusilli with beef cheek ragu and the carrot agnolotti were also fantastic. The tiramisu was great, with a little hint of lemon in the cream. Our server, Todd, was awesome and all of his recommendations were spot on!
Risata is a perfect addition to the amazing collection of neighborhood restaurants in Robbinsdale and we can wait to add it to our regular rotation!

MOLTO DELIZIOSO!
I was delighted to eat here this week and wow! was I impressed. A perfectly restrained menu to focus on quality ingredients and taste profiles. Curated. Thoughtful. Creative. Generous. And of course delicious. Every course has something to truly delight your taste buds. I recommend the mortadella skewers, the bolognese and the swordfish. The on-tap Negroni is spot-on and the Amaro selection is worth a fun exploration. Make haste and get your reservations set. This place is gonna be packed!

Such a fantastic experience at Risata Cucina tonight, the Wednesday of their opening week. As an Italian American I’m SO pleased to have this restaurant in our town, ESPECIALLY one with mortadella on the menu!!

The restaurant is warm and inviting, it’s not as dark or loud as other popular Italian restaurants in the cities.

The service was attentive and pleasant, Todd, our server was great and knowledgeable about the menu!

We had three appetizers, the beef tartare, arancini, and mortadella. They were all excellent, the mortadella is such a special dish in the Twin Cities! It’s what my Italian American heart has been missing!

We ordered the fusilli pasta with beef cheek as our entree. The portion was hearty! We got gluten free pasta and it was truly excellent. It was hot, perfectly spicy, the pasta was excellent! I almost didn’t believe it was gluten free.

The cocktails and wine were also great.

Highly recommend this new gem in Robbinsdale!!

Delicious handmade pasta, extensive amaro list. Beef tartare was incredible (as someone who doesn’t usually enjoy tartare). Excited to have a new spot in Birdtown!

So if you’re a cocktail nut stop what you’re doing come here and order the Americano on the menu, everything else they have is an absolutely excellent example of a classic and well worth it but that is the standout by far as it’s definitely a unique twist. I won’t spoil it as it sounds odd at first but it works so damn well. The espresso foam on the negroni is also really cool and new to me at least but the standout is the Americano.

Food wise it’s very much the same, classic names but extremely well curated examples of them, we had the Gnocchi and the Fusili with beef cheek. I hardly ever order Gnocchi out but I really loved it. Beef tartare was also excellent.

Put this place on your calendar and come soon, I have a feeling it might get packed as word gets out. Broders finally has a little competition.
