Hands down coffee – had a fantastic experience at this café in Friday Harbor! The water view and outdoor seating is absolutely stunning, providing a peaceful backdrop to enjoy your coffee. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. We got to celebrate birthday of one of the baristas while we were there 🙂 The coffee and pastries both savory and sweet are yummy —perfectly brewed, baked and fresh. Plus, there’s a great selection of merchandise, making it easy to pick up a souvenir. Highly recommend this cozy spot for anyone visiting!

Excellent option for a quick breakfast before starting a day of exploring. We went at prime time – Saturday at 10 am, and were served very quickly, waiting only minutes for food and coffee. Avocado toast has an abundance of toppings. Cold brew was DELICIOUS. Staff was friendly and efficient. Would recommend and will definitely return.

Amazing coffee, amazing workers, amazing atmosphere. We were particularly impressed by the fun seasonal drinks that were extremely well done. The staff was incredible and the view from the cafe is so cute and peaceful. If you are one that likes your morning coffee run, you have to go here! Don’t waste your time anywhere else on the island.

We came here every day during our five night stay in Friday Harbor. Love the smoothies and smoothie bowls, and the Waldron sandwich. All the employees were very nice! Great location right on the water.

TLDR; Best coffee and small breakfast bites on the island, and possibly also Washington.
We stopped by and got a few mochas, an avocado toast and a breakfast sandwich which were all so incredibly in terms of flavor that I wish this cafe was close to home and not a 2 hour drive and 1 hour ferry ride away. 🙁
I’ve never had better mocha anywhere in the state, and the flavors on their avocado toast are absolutely on point. To top it off, their prices are reasonable too!
Will be back, and this will always be my coffee place on Friday Harbor.

Walked in here right as it was closing time and they still served me with a friendly smile and made me 4 smoothies and a coffee without seeming frustrated or upset. Wonderful customer service, delicious options and fair pricing! Highly recommend

We had multiple great experiences at Riptide during our vacation in Friday Harbor. We tried most of the smoothies on the menu, and every one of them was delicious. The coffee and watermelon lemonade were also refreshing. The staff was very kind each visit! The view is incredible from the outdoor seating. We really appreciated the variety of vegan options available for my wife—it made it easy for both of us to enjoy everything.
