Social Profile:

Our story starts in 1853 when the barn that houses the bar was built (Lincoln wasn’t President yet). As far as barns go, this one is pretty cool and it’s amazing it has stood this long, even surviving the Great Dayton Flood of 1913. In 2014 after a complete renovation, the place was rechristened the Rip Rap Roadhouse which was founded on the belief that great food and great service at a reasonable price will get people to keep coming back, and hopefully, they’ll tell their friends. “In 2053 our barn will be 200 years old. Everything we do today is to make sure that the Rip Rap Roadhouse is still in business for the bicentennial and that it is viewed as one of the places that make the Miami Valley special to those that live here. I visited in the winter, so the outdoor activities weren’t happening, but the inside is huge. They have tasty food at reasonable prices and a lot of beer and cocktail options. We had a fairly large group and they have tables at least large enough for 14. Our server was very friendly and everyone was happy with the speed of service.

Stopped here to eat lunch. The service was great. The decor was really cool. There was a tournament going on…and it was the most entertaining lunch we’ve ever had. It was great!

Country-style restaurant with Harley influence located in the middle of the countryside. The place was packed at noon, it felt awkward that nobody was hosting customers but a waiter quickly found me a table. I had fish and chips for lunch. The fish was very good, freshly cooked. The chips were really thin and crunchy, covered with a bunch of seasoning. I would’ve preferred regular French fries but it was OK. Service was very friendly on an laidback atmosphere. Will definitely come back

Great service. Great food. Cold drinks. Cant go wrong here. Not sure why its taken me so long to try the food here.

The meatloaf is delicious. The pulled pork is top notch. Loaded tots (cant remember the actual name on menu) were delicious as well. Cant wait to return to try more food.

A nice little rustic bar and grill with FANTASTIC food. We got served quickly and ordered a drink, apps, and 2 entrees… All with plenty of taste and soul…you can tell the kitchen works hard and everyone involved takes pride in this place. They hold car shows as well which is a huge plus in my opinion. We will be returning

Stopped for dinner before a concert. Service was great. The jambalaya was delicious. The other-half had the Pot Roast Sandwich and said it was fantastic. We didn’t have time to check the place out but it is definitely Harley themed. There is a restaurant on one side and bar on the other. The restaurant is dimly lit but the light at the table was plenty to read the menus.
I would have no problem coming back here.

Ok ok. I’ve did lots of reviews. This is by far my favorite. I grew up in huber heights. Moved away for several years and finally moved back and this is the first time I’ve tried Rip Rap Roadhouse! I’m crazy for not trying it sooner. Cheesy potatoes were amazing. They blow cracker barrels cheesy potatoes out the park. There is no comparison. The chicken tenders were good and crispy I’d give em an 8/10 not better than Canes but pretty darn good! I got 3 chicken tenders and cheesy potatoes and it was $17.50 for that so a little pricey for the portion size. But the tenders are fresh not frozen and the cheesy potatoes were worth the $3.50 upcharge. I am excited to try their fresh never frozen burger next time around! I will be back. This place has awesome scenery too and is always packed out.

We visited Riprap Roadhouse on a Saturday night and had a great experience. We sat at a high-top table in the bar area, which was nearly full—we snagged one of the last tables—but there was still plenty of seating available in the main dining room.

The staff was wonderful. We had hoped to watch a non-local sports game, and the team went above and beyond to help. They searched through the guide twice right in front of us to confirm they couldn’t get the channel (the game must have been out of market). Their effort, especially during a busy evening, was impressive and very appreciated.

For dinner, we ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad and the Meatloaf Sandwich. The salad was delicious—the chicken was perfectly seasoned and not the least bit dry, which is surprisingly rare at many restaurants. The Meatloaf Sandwich looked great, and my partner enjoyed it thoroughly.

As beer drinkers, we were happy to find a strong draft lineup with both familiar favorites and a rotating selection, including local craft options. Prices were more than reasonable, and the overall vibe was laid-back with a friendly, relaxed crowd.

Oh, and plan ahead! They offer a discount if you pay in cash.

Overall, it was a perfect roadhouse experience, and we will definitely be back!

We stopped in for dinner during our visit to Dayton. They were having a car show and the place was very busy on a Friday night however we got seated very quickly.

We ordered the fish and chips, and Steak dinners. All our meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. We had a few drinks that was very refreshing.

The place has plenty of seating with a great atmosphere. Our waitresses was awesome and very attentive. We also enjoyed reviewing the cars after we finished our meal. We had a wonderful dining experience.
