Mixed feelings about this restaurant. Let’s start with positive. Very friendly staff. Decor is very aligned with the theme. Food unfortunately was not the greatest. My chicken steak was ok and mash potatoes very blend. Gravy awful. Some of my peer’s food was ok based on their comments. I really don’t think I’d would visit again.

Exhausting day, so I decided to visit the on-site restaurant Rio Ranch. I had the Blackened Gulf Red Snapper, jasmine rice, and seasonal vegetables.

The food is fine. For breakfast I ordered an avocado and egg toast. The staff is very friendly. Easy to get inside the hotel you have corridors that connect to the restaurant and you don’t have to go outside.

Had the brisket sandwich today and it was probably the worst brisket I’ve ever had. Weird taste to it. Also the kettle chips were bad too had a funny taste to them. Made a lunch or eating the fries which were nothing special. Used to come here for lunch and it was pretty good but not the same now at all.

Tried something new for brunch and Rio did not disappoint! I was a bit late so I mixed their brunch menu items for their regular menu offered just what I wanted! The vegetables/vegetarian pasta was good! The vegetables in the pasta weren’t over cooked! My fries were slightly hard but other than that it was fine. I don’t know whether the it’s muffins or cornbread or cornbread muffins but they are delicious and soft!

We arrived late, just before the kitchen closed, and I order the blackened red snapped while my wife had the burger. The burger was ok but nothing special. The fish was tough and over cooked and the asparagus was excellent, but the rice was dry and clumpy like it was scraped off the bottom of the pot and reheated. It was some of the worst rice I had in my life. The waiter was responsive though and brought some fresh rice but it should not have happened in the first place.

The food was good. It was over priced. Service from John was good. Limited menu. The hostess didn’t even acknowledge when we left goodbye or anything considering the price you pay here. Honestly could have went to denny’s for a better breakfast.

I had a solo dinner here. I went with chicken Fried chicken, Green beans and mashed potatoes. The food was delicious, hot, and Fresh but a little over priced it in my opinion. The service was great. Mohammed what’s my server. I had a drink from the bar, I’m not exactly sure what it was.

If your staying at the hotel and don’t want to get dressed, it’s great! Otherwise, your in Houston, your 5-10 min away from anything you could want, don’t be lazy. Go somewhere else.

The ambiance is excellent. You feel like you are walking into a distinct ranch. The food is tasty, and served at a good temperature – hot but not too hot. The selection is a little limited, but adequate. Parking is no problem. Service is excellent. However, the amount of time from placing the order to receiving the order is extremely slow. We were the only customers present and it was still a very long wait. Worth going for the ambiance, but expect to wait a while after you order.
