The waiter and staff are always welcoming and respectful. You’re always greeted when coming in and allowed to pick your table or seating. Inside there’s tv’s playing the latest game or show. They have a good selection of drinks and very well made. I enjoyed the lemon drop but you can’t go wrong with a margarita or shots of tequila when there. I also had the steak quesadillas… my go to…. Amazing. Love the flavor of the steak and with the sides on it…perfect. I love the way the ppl that work there collaborate with one another to get things done. There great. Will definitely be coming back. Can get a bit pricy but definitely worth it.

Rio Grande Bar and Grill near Germantown is a solid win for anyone craving Tex-Mex comfort done right. The atmosphere is upbeat, the service is prompt and friendly, and the food consistently hits the mark. Portions are generous without feeling overdone, and everything arrives fresh, hot, and well seasoned.

Their fajitas come out sizzling, the enchiladas are packed with flavor, and the chips and salsa are the kind you end up finishing without even noticing. Drinks are another strong point. The margaritas are balanced, not overly sweet, and pair perfectly with pretty much anything on the menu.

What really sets the place apart is the staff. They move with purpose, check in at the right times, and keep the dining experience smooth even when the restaurant is busy. It is the kind of operation where you can tell the team cares about getting it right.

Whether you are stopping in for a quick lunch or settling in for a relaxed dinner, Rio Grande Bar and Grill delivers high quality, comfort food, and an easygoing vibe that makes it an easy recommendation.

We come from Thurmont to enjoy this Mexican- the best I’ve had since returning from TX. Birria, da BOMB!! And all other tacos, guac, and fajitas/ quesadillas are the best around. Better than uncle Julio’s. It’s a family restaurant, great service, awesome owner- kid friendly. Our waiter knew our daughter eats guac so we got “mild” and I love it picante. I can’t tell you how much it means to get chopped jalapeños on the side – without asking. This is The Best. If I lived here I’d be here every day!!

I love this place! I became a regular and they’re always welcoming and friendly. Definitely a great place to bring a group! The food is incredible as well!

I’ve been trying out their seasonal offerings! Watermelon margaritas are incredible and their seafood paella (even to go) is godlike

I like the way it looks. That’s about it. I went at happy hour and it was kind of slow but the waiter/bartender wasn’t really attentive. The drink wasn’t too good, I got a margarita and it only tasted like sour mix. Then the food came out and it was covered in a bunch of tomatoes, onions which is fine. I usually like it on the side, but it has way too much sour cream. Also, super random, it was on top of a salad which was super unnecessary. The ingredients didn’t taste fresh at all. But like I said, aesthetically the place looks really good.

Stopped in for lunch today and glad we did. Really nice dining room, mexican themed. Loved the hanging lights made from Patron bottles that were over the bar. Entrees were Seafood Enchiladas, because I can’t resist them if they are on the menu. They turned out to be in my top 3. Also tried the Fish Tacos and they were delicious. Sad to see that we were the only table for lunch, perhaps if they had lunch specials? I believe the owner waited on us, and she was very pleasant. Would Recommend.

I wish I had taken photos! As everyone else has mentioned, the food is so fresh, the service is fantastic, the brunch menu on weekends has some really fun options too. Definitely our new favorite restaurant in Germantown! I only wish I had ordered fajitas (even though the enchiladas I got were delicious) because the table next to us all got fajitas and they looked and smelled amazing!

This place is amazing. Great service and fresh, excellent food. Our table ordered combo fajitas and they were a hit. We also ordered chicken tacos and chicken burrito – both super fresh and tasty. The guacamole was some of the best I have ever tasted. Highly recommend this fantastic spot!

Stopped here with a client after looking at homes in the area, I don’t go to Germantown often so with absolutely no research we hit the first place we saw. Glad we did! The food was great, the service was perfect and the atmosphere good… The little strip shopping center it’s in felt a little questionable but this restaurant was on point!!
