This place is ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS and someone needs to call the health department to have them shut down, seriously. When u first walk in the place smells like sewage.Inside the dining area, the booths are warn down and broken. The silverware was nasty. On the buffet, the food was lukewarm, and OH MYGOD the amount of caked up dust and grease on the lighting above the bar, creepd me out so bad. The rice wasn’t even sitting on anything to keep it warm, and the water where the scoop spoon sat was so milky and cloudy.The gentleman working the grille smelled like he went out and smoked a pack of cigarettes, came back in didn’t was his hands, and just started cooking. The bathrooms, I don’t need to say. This place should have been shut down years ago. If the sign outside the building is garbage. I was so creeped out going here. PLEASE DONT DO IT.

Hate to do a bad review but I went with my family at 1pm on Saturday 12/20. There was barely any food out, very small portions & on top of that the food was either super greasy, lukewarm or just not appetizing at all. We were looking for a good buffet & thought since it was nearby we’d give it a chance. The recent reviews speak for itself. The only pretty good thing is they have a bar, my beer truly saved me from the tastes at times. As for service the lady working the cashier was waiting on tables and she was attentive for refills and taking our plates so nothing bad to say of that. Atmosphere was okay music coming from the bar area. Not sure if they were off their game because it was lunch & not dinner time but who knows. Eat at your own risk.

07/02/2025- Bad! There is no one in here! Why? The food is cold, awful, the fish smells funny( bad). The staff is rude! The snell of the bathroom is penetrating out through the food area. The floor feels greasy! The decor is dusty! Don’t come here! Okay. They have a bar and music playing loudly! The bar may be your thing! I like food! Thus is not the place to eat! I hadn’t gone to this place in years. Went last week on a Thursday, October 2, 2025. The lighting was dim, the food was luke warm and the odor was not to inviting. I was hungry, so I took a chance thinking, I would play it safe and only eat what appeared to look tasty and inviting. I chose the lo mein noodles with vegetables and shrimps. After eating the noodles, I noticed at the bottom of my plate was a sauteed roach. I immediately, took the plate to the register and the lady just replied may I have your card to put your money back on the card. Yes, she reimbursed my money. However, the thought of that roach in my food I just was eating made me sick on my stomach and it caused me to vomit outside of the parking lot.

Rio Buffet has gone down..The music played was irritating the future chairs are all broken down…would be a nice place if they invest back on keeping it up!.. I remember when Rio Buffet first opened and it was always packed not anymore it like a lil ghost town..I enjoyed the Hibachi grill and the crabs some meats was tuff like the steak…but it was worth the $16.99 for the crabs and they come out at 3:30 pm when they have them

I believe she is Hispanic However I caught her taking yellow rice that had fallen on the concourse just outside of the pan press it on her fingers to pick it up and throw it back into the pan of rice to be served to the customers this is highly unacceptable as this is a gross thing she has done, she should be fired indefinitely she is going to be the reason this place is shut down , many of you who read my reviews know that I don’t lie yiu can eat there but skip the rice,
