My husband and I had the pleasure to visit this town as we are checking out Capital Reef. We were tired and hungry so we chose this spot to eat plus we are staying at the inn so it was convenient for us. The food was delicious, the host and waitress Camryn were super friendly and welcoming, and the views made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone looking for great food and a great atmosphere.

The staff was extremely nice and the food was good, for the location. We would recommend the sirloin (slightly overcooked for medium so maybe order medium rare)and mushrooms (such great flavor we loved them) Do the baked potato because the mashed potatoes tasted a little artificial.

The main courses are solid, the sides aren’t great. Pricing, given the sides, is more expensive than it is worth. However, the staff and atmosphere are fantastic and make it worth it. Also has dog friendly outdoor seating. Views are unmatched for the area, give it a try.

I was in transit, stayed in the evening and left in the morning, but the silence and the atmosphere here made me think of the ancient wild west.
The first thought when I entered the parking lot was: why aren’t there horses tied to the railing.
There is no refrigerator in the room, wi-fi works poorly, but it is clean, decent, quiet, beautiful scenery. and the wonderful atmosphere!

The food and view were excellent. The service was prompt and fitting for the informal atmosphere. The section where we were seated was very dimmly lit after dark. I had to use my phone light to see the menu and spot check the food after it was served. During the day it would have been an amazing view. There was a section in the center of the restaurant that had plenty of light. Overall a good experience. We had the ribeye and trout. Both were very good.

We enjoyed dinner at the Rim Rock Restaurant. We chose outdoor seating, where we admired the beautiful view of nearby Capitol Reef Park. Service was excellent—one waiter efficiently and pleasantly handled the orders of all outdoor tables. All food was fresh and delicious, especially the salmon.

Visited on a Tuesday evening after touring Capitol Reef N.P. We arrived about 5:30 and were seated immediately. Service was prompt and friendly. Parking was plentiful even once the restaurant was full.
We skipped getting any appetizers and ordered wine and entrees. Gnarly Head old vine Zinfandel was very good for $30/bottle. Mu husband ordered the filet mignon with a side salad and mashed potatoes ($37). I got the ribeye steak with salad and baked potato ($38). The salads were on the small side: a little handful of mixed greens, one tomato wedge and a couple of slices of carrot and cucumber. A couple of warm dinner rolls were brought to the table with the salad which were good. The steaks arrived cooked perfectly and each one had a different sauce accompanying it. The steaks were flavorful. The filet was about 2 inches thick accompanied by a big scoop of mashed potatoes. The ribeye wasn’t the largest I’ve ever seen and was probably about 3/4 of an inch thick with lots of fat around the edges (only ate 1/2) and had a medium sized baked potato. We had the crème brûlée for dessert but we were disappointed. It seemed like it had been frozen since the custard was a bit grainy and mealy.
The view of the area was gorgeous and in every direction. We were happy that we didn’t get seated near the swinging saloon style doors that the staff used since they were constantly banging loudly. The meal came to $108 not including tip. A pretty typical cost for a steak dinner for two.

Cannot recommend this place enough. We got on the wait list and showed up later to the best experience we’ve had. From the.views to the staff to the food was stellar. We ordered a bottle of wine with a 1/2 lb burger and veggie mole enchiladas. Both were flavorful and well put together. We had an amazing experience admiring all the succulents that are around the entire grounds (even inside the office) were a small token of the feeling Jon had put into his passion here along with chefs and all staff. The view is the icing on top of red rock beauty and a special atmosphere that is hard to describe. We were wowed. We cannot wait to come back

After a long day of hiking we had a great dinner at Rim Rock. Lovely & accommodating staff & the food was delicious. The pinto beans & chips appetizer was so good! And the seemingly simple side salad was fantastic. Our server, Cherie, was outstanding, giving us great recommendations & proving outstanding service. We would 100% dine here again!
