After a nice drive through the state park, we stopped at the Rim of the Canyon Cafe & Grocery for a bite to eat. They were busy and hustling. Our lunch arrived in about 15 minutes and was good. Hubby had a burger and tots and I had a blt and potato wedges. Both meals were very good!! We will stop again on our next ride.

Nice staff, great pulled pork BBQ sandwiches and good taters. Perfect spot to hit after visiting the falls.

We stopped by here for breakfast on our way back home after finding it in Google and seeing all the reviews, and it didn’t disappoint! The establishment was clean and very compact. Even though there wasn’t a lot of seating available, it’s not a 5 star restaurant, it’s a nice diner in a gas station, so seats will be limited. The convenience store side offered a little bit of everything that you may need. Now on to the food side! There are very few people working, so it’s a slight wait but nothing too bad. My wife ordered French toast, eggs, grits and bacon and I ordered the breakfast platter with 2 eggs, grits, biscuit, sausage and a side of gravy. My wife’s French toast and other food items were delicious as was mine! But really set off our breakfast was the bacon and sausage, it was from a grocery store. I could taste the salt and smoke in the bacon and the sausage was amazing! Come to find out the meat supplied to the restaurant comes from the owner’s farm and it was some of the finest sausage and bacon I’ve ever had! We will definitely stop here the next time we’re in the area and get one of their burgers! Definitely worth a stop to eat some of this food!

Stopped in for a country ham biscuit with egg and a slice of onion. AMAZING! Soft and fluffy biscuits and hot coffee. Everyone was extremely friendly. Connected to a gas station for a one stop shop. Lots of odd and end things in case you may need. They also sell local meats from a farm nearby.

So glad we decided to stop in and grab some breakfast after seeing the falls.
When it’s 3 grannies in the kitchen you know the food is going to be amazing.
Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and the food was great.
The baloney is thick and perfect on a breakfast sandwich.

Quaint, Southern hospitality. Delicious home style food. We had Country fried steak, green beans, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, and corn nuggets. All of which were excellent.

Delicious, made to order breakfast. Hashbrowns were made like I wanted them. The ladies were super sweet. Our only regrets are that we didn’t try the grits (because I’m guessing these ladies make some perfect grits) and didn’t make it back on this trip for the burgers, but we definitely will on our next trip! We had freshly made breakfast sandwiches- a bologna, egg, and cheese one and a sausage, egg, and cheese one- along with some gas browns with cheese, onions, and jalapeños. All the necessary condiments are on the tables. Also, there are so many awesome articles and pictures of local history all over the walls! Oh!! And the store itself has maybe the cleanest gas station bathroom I have ever been in.

Staff is very friendly. Food is reasonably priced. Small seating area inside but a lot more outside under a huge tree. Got the steak & cheese on garlic bread. One of the best I’ve ever had. Other sandwiches at our table were cheeseburgers and pulled pork. Zero complaints .
Only drawback for us were the fries, just out of the bag cuts with no salt (this could be good for some people) so I added salt/pepper.
Would love to see some home made fries.
It’s about an hour drive for us but will go again.

We recently stayed in the Fort Payne area for our kids’ fall break and happened across Rim of the Canyon Cafe for breakfast. Food was AMAZING! Everything is very well priced also. Staff was very friendly. We ended up coming back on the next day as well, and would’ve come here on the first day if we knew about it!
