I’ve had a lot of authentic tacos before, and these are some of the best I’ve ever had. Barbacoa, Asada, lengua on corn shells with onions and cilantro. Yum the meat was tender and tasty. And the food came out pretty quick.

Best Food After Electric Forest!
We stopped by Rico’s Tamales right after Electric Forest and were blown away. The tamales and barbacoa tacos were so good we literally came back the next morning for more—they were that unforgettable.
This is truly authentic Mexican food—fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love. You can taste the tradition in every bite.
On top of that, Fred, the owner, is incredibly friendly and hospitable. He welcomed us like family and made the whole experience even more special. It’s rare to find a spot that makes you feel this good and feeds you the best food ever.

The tamelas were incredible and very authentic. Great flavor and good value for the price. The mild red sauce packs a decent kick btw, especially for Michigan standards. The service was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stop again when passing through.

This place is delicious! We had beans, rice, and barbacoa tacos and they were all fabulous. Yum!
