I have to say lunch was delicious. I had a gift card to use & we are 50 minutes away. Figured a nice lunch with the wife. Started off with fried zucchini flowers! Had these all the time when my parents had a garden. Wife got the salmon & scallops. I got the broiled scrod. Dessert we got tiramsu & I think strawberry cheesecake. House salads also delicious. If ever in the area a great spot to stop.

One of the best places you can get Italian food in Pittsburgh. The field dishes the pasta dishes the seafood dishes all cooked to perfection. Great wine selection and the service is impeccable. I may be a little biased but that’s okay people who know me know why.

The staff was very nice and helpful, but if you enjoy quality Italian food, literally go anywhere else. The food was simply terrible. I don’t take pleasure in writing that, but it’s my honest opinion. Maybe the food was better decades ago, but that time is long gone.

Buon apetito! Pittsburgh’s TOP THREE BEST AUTHENTIC ITALIAN, a rarity in a town of many who claim Italian roots but very poor choices of real Italian food.

I have to say I had great hopes for Rico’s and it did not hit. A fancy affair with valet parking and a jacket check. We had a rezy so we got right in. The fried zucchini and shrimp app were very good. The Diet Coke was terrible… no carbonation. I got the seafood feast and it was so bland. Everything tasted the same from the scallops, shrimp, fish, and clams/mussels. There was the same crumble breading all over this dish (that was JB the shrimp app) swimming in butter but no real flavor. Where is the imagination? Two other of my companions got pasta dishes with similar bland opinions. The third companion did like the pinwheel meal and said very flavorful. Service was slowwww. For the prices here Ricos has gotta do more. I would give it another try because I want to believe they just had an off night as it is a popular date night restaurant.

Worst dining experience in a long time. It started when 2 of the 6 six of us arrived, and were told to wait in the bar and if the rest of our group were late we would all be hungry waiting for an open table. Who speaks to a customer like that? They arrived on time and we still waited 15 minutes for a table. Our waitress was demeaning with us as well every time we asked her a question. The Valet parking attendant was the only friendly person. I left several phone messages to speak to management after our visit and never got a return phone call.

We hadn’t dined at Rico’s in awhile, from reading the reviews it looks like they had their share of foibles to deal with during the last few years. Regardless of what you see here I think that being packed on a Monday night tells you that Rico’s is back to where it was long time ago! Our dinner was beyond good, it was fabulous! Including the Caesar salad show at our table and served to us.

Very disappointed!!!! We had a 5pm reservation for a party of 5 on a Monday evening. When we got seated we were the only people in the restaurant area. It took a very long time to get our drink order. Once we did finally get our drinks we ordered the Ceaser salad for four. An older gentleman wheeled a cart to our table and prepared it. However he left the salads on the cart and just walked away. After 20 minutes the server looked at the cart with a disgusted look and served them. We then quickly tried to order our entrees, in hopes of saving some time since we were about an hour in at this point. We’ll that didn’t work, our drinks got empty and our meals took forever as did our server coming back to see if we needed more drinks. Once the meals arrived the disappointment continued. The Chilean Sea Bass looked like McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets and tasted horrible. The Chicken Milanese was three small pieces of very thin chicken with no taste and a pile of bell peppers with absolutely no seasoning. Luckily they had Red Hot available. 3] hours later and $300+ the five of us left still hungry.

Rico’s hosted my Mom’s 90th Birthday dinner in a private room. From the planning to the serving to the end of the evening, everyone was attentive and kind. The food was delicious, with an appetizer buffet and sit down meal, highly recommend for parties and an evening out!

Absolutely Terrible Experience. The rolls served tasted like they had been left out all week and covered in salt. Rude customers dining adject were making a scene for the entirety of our meal. I thought this was fine dining not a cage match. My companions food was cold by the time I got the correct plate. Will not be returning.
