My husband and I went here for dinner and it was phenomenal. Our waitress was just lovely, and the food was divine. We started with the pretzels and pierogis for appetizers. The cheese that accompanied the pretzels IS NOT SPICY. That feels like a miracle nowadays with everyone doing spicy cheeses. But not this one. Rich and savory cheddar, that paired perfectly with the salty pretzels. The green onion with the pierogis really made them pop. For entrees, I got the shaved prime rib burger, and my hubby got the mushroom and Swiss. Let me tell you. I am not a burger person. I don’t order them. Ever. But tonight, I was craving something different and delicious, and boy did Rico’s deliver. Maybe all burgers need a cup of au jus on the side? I don’t know. But it was undoubtedly the best burger I’ve ever had. My only regret about the whole thing is that I was too full for dessert!

It’s a dive bar that serves epic burgers! Service was fast enough that we could eat and get back on our lunch hour.
There’s obviously a well stocked bar, and I’m sure they get plenty of after-work business.
I tried a bacon cheeseburger with peanut butter — outstanding! So was the mac and cheese burger.
They had lots of HUGE salads, and other tasty-looking options.

While staying at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, the Dawg Haus crew tried Rico’s at the Bulldog in Elkhart after seeing its strong 4.7 Google rating. As most-time RVers traveling the U.S. and Canada in search of the best cheeseburgers, we rate each stop using our Dawg Haus Burger Scale: The Best (only one earns this title), Very Good, Good, OK, and Not Impressed. The service at Rico’s was excellent, and the burgers came out hot on fresh toasted buns. My Bulldog Burger and my wife’s Mushroom Swiss were both tasty, though the patties could’ve used a bit more seasoning. The fries and tater tots were a good choice. Overall, Rico’s earned a solid Good on our Dawg Haus Burger Scale. As a bonus, they give a military veteran discount.

Me and my boyfriend came here for lunch and had Amanda as our waitress, who was just simply phenomenal! We felt extremely welcomed, comfortable and enjoyed the environment. The food was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this establishment and I appreciate the kindness and warm welcome we received 🙂

This tiny little hole in the wall was a lesson in not judging a book by it’s cover. We walked in and I said to Kitten that I think we’d been bamboozled. Kitten wanted to give it a go and boy are we glad we did. The decor was that of an old diner/bar. There were only a few booths, but we were able to sit at one. Then we saw the menu, wow, great selection of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, salads and even a few entrees that piqued our curiosity. It was a late lunch though and we went with burgers. The food was great, the service was even better. We’d highly recommend Rico’s for good eats.

Went with a friend for dinner on a Friday night. It was busy and we didn’t have a reservation but got seated rather quickly. They came and took our drink order. Our server was quite pleasant and didn’t make us feel rushed. As we sat and talked, she brought the drinks and asked if we were ready to order which we were not. She said to take our time and returned a couple more times to check on us. The last time we placed food orders. I got the Italian meat wrap with tots and my friend ordered the wrap with tots.
As we continued to talk she checked on us and brought refills. After prob 20 mins she brought the food. I asked for a side of italian dressing for my wrap which she brought right back.
I will note that they had prime rib on special which I believe they have most Fridays.
My wrap was tasty and full of flavor and stuffed with ingredients. The tots were hot, right out of the fryer.
She returned with more refills and the check which she said “no hurry” .
Loved the food, the server and atmosphere. I only worked a 4 star due to the loudness of the room but it was to be expected since they were busy.
Dinner was under $20 including 20% tip. Will be back in a few weeks. Close to home and great food.

My wife and I ordered a turkey club to share 1/2 order of onion rings and one garden salad. The food took over an hour to come out and we had to leave to pick our son up from his friends. We asked for a go box, paid and left; only to find out in the car that our turkey club had no turkey. We’ve both worked in food service before so we know it’s not the waitresses fault the food took so lon, but we’re never coming back. My wife and I agreed that they must have had to kill live turkeys in the back and process them to make the sandwich which is why it took so long, and our turkey must’ve ran away.

Staying Elkhart and wanted a local place to eat. Read others’ reviews and decided to try. My husband was in the mood for a hamburger. Dezz was a wonderful server. She was attentive.
Ordered onion rings as an appetizer. They were a little overdone.
I ordered the Madd Buger, and it was awesome. Husband ordered the Dog burger, and he said it was one of the best burgers he’s had in a while. I’m so glad I found this place.
