Tried Rico Chino for the first time while visiting that side of town. The restaurant was clean, well-lit, and busy, and the young lady at the front was kind. I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately, the food didn’t sit well with me—my dish actually gave me a stomachache. The fried rice did not taste fresh and had an aftertaste. The noodles had an Asian & curry taste, and the garlic chicken was ok. The only item I’d recommend is the fried plantains with garlic; they were tasty. Overall, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it, but the prices are reasonable if you’re still curious to try it for yourself.

Supposed to be Puerto Rican style Chinese food. The flavors say otherwise. Employees aren’t even Puerto Rican. The place is popular because there was a wait but I believe it’s only because of the location, not the food. First time there and it will be the last. There much better options for Puerto Rican style Chinese food. Good luck.

I was a little concerned because of all the negative comments, but I decided to take a risk. I called and placed an order over the phone; the girl was super quick. When I arrived, the parking lot was packed, so it was a bit hard to find a spot. The place was full inside, and I thought to myself, “This place must be good.” The girl at the counter asked for my name, and since I gave it to her, my order was ready quickly. I spent more time getting out of the parking lot than actually waiting for the food! When I got home and finally tried it, I was pleased. It wasn’t like the Chinese food in Puerto Rico, but it was better than most places I’ve been to. The boneless ribs were good, the orange chicken was okay, and the tostones were yummy.

I’m a bit bummed out that I have to go back and edit my comment from two years ago. It’s a little disheartening for me to have to do this. The food just isn’t the same anymore. The chicken taste and look old like it have been re heat it. The shrimp, broccoli taste nasty. the broccoli was mushy and lacked any vibrant flavor. Even the garlic sauce, which usually adds a delightful kick, seemed to fall flat in this dish. It was a disappointing meal that left me wishing I had chosen something else from the menu. The sauce left a lingering flavor that I’m still trying to decipher. The only good thing was the rice. The Colombian lady in the front is absolutely careless! I mentioned my name was Raymond, and she wrote “Frieman.” When I pointed it out, she just laughed and said, “Oh, it’s okay, don’t worry about it.” It breaks my heart to have to say this but this will be my last time eating here. I used to love this place.

I love this Chinese food the only problem is that they take for ever with a order. But the food is amazing so I wait I don’t care lol.

My second time here to check consistency and let me tell you one of the best Chinese Puertorican food out there . I had the house fried rice with shrimp in a garlic sauce . Forgot the pictures but i promise I will definitely share it next time . The girls staff are great , they are very courteous and savvy about the menu .

I had high hopes for this place, but it fell short in multiple areas. Everything seemed sub-par and mediocre at best. The establishment, service, and food were all disappointing in my opinion.
For such a small place, I feel they should be able to keep it much more clean and tidy. The service was bland and the food was disappointing. The only real positive were the prices. I ordered the beef and broccoli combo and the 2 piece fried chicken with French fries. I’m truly not trying to bash this place but I must be honest with my review. The brown sauce with the beef n broccoli had this weird aftertaste and although the fried rice was the best part of the entire meal, it too quickly became blah. I did like the smoked flavor that the rice had from the wok, but everything else was a miss. The fries were soggy (it was dine-in not take out) and while the chicken pieces were large snd crispy, it was obviously re-fried and not fresh. I also ordered “egg rolls” but we got 2 spring rolls instead, that were over-cooked.
Again, I really wanted to like this place but it was not a favorable experience. As a Puerto Rican from NYC who loves Chinese food, I feel this place is yet another bad representation of the PR-Chino fusion that has popped up throughout central Florida.

People recommended this restaurant so I went and tried it out, what a disappointment. I ordered the fried rice with fried chicken and when I tell you the chicken tasted like it had been there for ever, hard and dry. Rice was ok. They sell it like it’s the same taste as the ones we have in Puerto Rico, not by a long shot. Cook was oriental, the girl at the front barely spoke Spanish however was not puertorican. If you want the real deal, go to a place where everyone at the restaurant especially the cooks are from my beautiful island PS. Born in NY raised in PR

Ordered the chicken combo (5 pieces). Came with some little thighs & a leg. With a side of fries. The big frozen ones. If they get cold, it’s over. The batter was not really seasoned. You still tasted the flour. Nothing added to meat for seasoning. A little confusing, Marquee said Asian, staff and flag on front door says Puerto Rico. Has seating area inside, along with a public restroom. The parking lot is small and tight. Handicap parking is not at or to close to the entrance .
