Went to mi familia for breakfast.Parking is in the back. Go through the back door and then your led to the restaurant. We were seated immediately and attended to quickly. The menu is in Spanish and pricing was very good. I got a barbacoa plate and it was big enough to share with my children. The kids got fideo and they said it was the best fideo they’ve had. Husband got migas and it was delicious. Our only thing we weren’t a fan of was the potatoes but other than that excellent service, fair pricing.

I came home to this restaurant by accident. I was here by like 6:30am. It was me and about 5 other people. They were already in there when I walked in. Not more than 5 minutes passed and about 50 people walked in. Omg! Now I know why! The food is absolutely delicious! Cecilia the server single handed took care of all the customers! I don’t know how she did it but realistically I wouldn’t encourage it. Please owner get her help because she is a shining star and if you don’t get her help she might go somewhere else. It is because of her diligence that I stayed. The restaurant is very clean and plenty of space! I will definitely be back. I called my brother thinking I found something new and he said everybody knows about this place and we all love it!

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by multiple workers and most said goodbye as I left. There were several options on the menu and the plate I ordered was not only full of food but full of flavor! Absolutely delicious. The staff was incredible and very sweet!

What do you know, like a local does, we were shopping on San Bernardo for some plaster table centerpiece decorations for my daughters graduation party. This, of course, meant we would have to grab lunch “in the street.”
We were directed to an obscure little restaurant called “Mi Familia”. I literally walked right past it while looking for it, as it blends in with the mattress stores that are adjacent to it on both sides. There is little to no on-street parking, but there is a side street nearby and a large parking lot in the back.
When you walk in, you instantly notice that there are quite a few patrons sitting on sturdy chairs at sturdy clean tables and there is a faint, clean smell of food. No overpowering Fabulosa smell. We were instantly greeted and sat at a large six person table. We looked over the simple menu (no pictures) and there was a good mix of the Laredo standards as well as a few suprise items like Buffalo wings. We opted for the Tampiquena plate. The steak was a little chewy but the Fideo, the rice and the beans were ready fairly quickly. I ordered a sweet tea, which the waitress said was brewed there and it was delicious! I never trust them when they say that it is brewed in-house, but my taste buds told me it was. Very happy. I also ordered a Deshabrada taco which was done to perfection. The tortilla was thick, tasty, and soft. The free chips were a touch stale, but the warm red salsa made up for the discrepancy. My son ordered the French toast, which was ok, not like Danny’s French toast, but it was still good. The family was happy, tummies were full and it didn’t em⁶pty my wallet. 43 bucks! We will be back to try the Caldo that they have every dau.

A very pleasant experience, the staff was nice and had a genuine interest for us to return. The food had a very good flavor and serving size was very fullfilling. The atmosphere of the restaurant had a nostalgic feeling of a typical texmex diner which i very much enjoy and appreciate myself(which could be a little biased). We will probably return at some point if we are nearby, and look forward to trying a few more meals. Tacos a very well served as well as the large pozole in our experience. The price for the food and breakfast special was great too.

This place is centrally located in the heart of Laredo Texas at 3220 San Bernardo. Hours of operation are daily from 6:30am to 3:30pm. I ordered a vanilla cappuccino size small and I absolutely recommend it!

Back entrance has a foul smell when I entered in the building. My parents chosen a table that we just found out nobody cleaned it and a piece of food crumb on the coffee creamer cup. My parents waited for 6 minutes with no waiter serving us. Suddenly, we decided to leave there hungry and unsatisfied. Also, in my opinion, the restaurant’s atmosphere looks barebones that resemble like a furniture store. I rate this place one star.

Great place. Great service.
Upgrading the seats would be amazing.
But in a future, seems fair.

1st. False advertising I went in there thinking they had different options of coffees, lattes, iced coffees, matcha etc. as seen on google review images. But unfortunately when I asked the waitress she had no idea what I was talking about. 2nd the food was mid nothing special.3rd the place had an unpleasant smell the building is old. 4th the service was slow and they took a long while to bring us our food. ♀️ I still tipped the waitress but I’m not sure I’ll ever go back.
