Been a few years since here. Brisket was perfect, connective tissue rendered just right, dont use sauce! Ribs perfect, fall off bone in your mouth, rub was light not overshadowing the meat, dont use sauce! Pork was dry (in TX we brine pork 24 hrs). All 4 sauces were unique and good. I settled in on the bourbon honey heat sauce, never had anything quite like it. Slaw was creamy touch of pepper, muy goodo. Salad was skin on reds, perfect match for Brisket. Staff were cheerful! Great Midwest style Q!!! Only complaint was had to order & pay up front then find a seat. I like to eat then pay because i usually order more after tasting. In this case I’d have ordered 1/2 rack ribs. Too much pia to get up & go thru the order process line again.

We ordered the 2 meat combo and sliced chicken sandwich. The sandwich was great. The meat combo was disappointing. For $22, I would expect a little bigger portion. I got the 3 small ribs and 4 small pieces of brisket. The brisket was over 50% fat. Also, for anyone health conscious, their BBQ sauce has high fructose corn syrup in it. I didn’t use it and didn’t base my rating on that factor.

The food was fantastic. The ribs melted in your mouth and tasted great. I thought it was a tad bit pricey for the amount of food we got but was for sure worth trying!

We most definitely will not be going back to this establishment. The table was dirty, the sauce containers were dirty and crusted with bbq sauce. The price was ridiculous for what you got. Just for 2 of us, it was $75. I got the the 3 meat sampler and my wife got the 2 meat sampler. I picked ribs, pulled pork and what I judge any bbq place on….the brisket. My wife got brisket and tips. We both got Mac and cheese and I got the coleslaw and she got a salad. And 4 pecan Carmel cookies. The damn cookies were the best part of the dinner. The coleslaw was ok. The meat had ZERO flavor unless you dumped a ton of sauce on it. Side note, I did like the sauces. There was no salt and pepper on any of the tables and the Mac and cheese definitely could have used some. There was no smoke ring on any of the meat. One of my ribs looked like it came from a different animal. There was more fat on the brisket then meat and the tips were dry and chewy as hell. All for just $75. You can keep it. The staff was very friendly, and I did like the old signs on the walls. But that’s is where I leave Rick’s Smokeless BBQ.

I ordered the Italian Beef sandwich for the first time tonight. Not only was it not seasoned like Italian Beef, it was tough. Anyone with false teeth would not be able to eat it. The menu listed it as marinated beef that had been smoked. That doesn’t explain the absence of any onion or garlic flavors. The pepperocini was chopped and dry, so that didn’t help the flavor profile. Also, Mozzarella cheese was not available. I like most of the food offered at Rick’s, but I won’t be ordering Italian Beef again.

Wife and I went here on a Saturday morning right after they opened. We both got 2 meat platters and had food to take home. All food was delicious! Granted it was early morning but service was great and nice atmosphere!! Would recommend!!

It had been years since I had been here. Decided to go with friends since they wanted some BBQ. I ordered the 2 meat sampler with hashbrown casserole and frys. My meats were brisket and ribs. My first thought was that it was a little less food than I was expecting for the price. The food had good flavor, but the brisket was a little dry. It being the lean portion had some to do with it. I really enjoyed the hashbrown casserole. I liked that they had several sauces to choose from which were all very good. Finally one thing I really like about this place is the atmosphere. It’s a historic building that has cool old pictures of the city. Overall I recommend this place. I’d go back and try some of the other stuff out for sure.

Pretty average I’ve had brisket in Texas so I’m pretty picky had the three meat sampler the Italian beef was a bit over seasoned in my opinion the turkey was near perfect and the brisket was average I guess I’m used to full slices with a little less fat the hash browns were pretty good but the beans were pretty mushy

Stopped in for dinner and it was amazing, so much personality here and the service was very friendly. Had the sliced chicken and rib tips and both were so delicious. Got our food in under 10 minutes and there was 4 of us! Came up here for the covered bridge festival, Rick’s Smokehouse & Grill is definitely worth the stop!
Notes : You order from a bar like setup, and they bring the food to your table. About like a steak and shake ordering process

Fast and friendly. Easy menu with great items. Quick service. Price is very good for the quality. Staff was friendly and quick. They answered all question about their food quickly. The restaurant is very clean with lots of decor. Presentation of food was excellent. This is an easy repeat for me. I’m looking forward to trying more food here. Easy parking and entering the building.
Edit: I’ve been back and Ricks has the best pork tenderloin in town. Thick juicy and breaded just right.
