I’ve tried plenty of halal chicken spots throught Los angeles and Orange County. Ordered a 6 piece boneless wings and a Chicken sandwich with fries. This was one of the best Chicken sandwiches i’ve had in a long time. The chicken was pure breast meat and so well done it just melted in my mouth. The fries were just right and topped it all off with a cold bottled Coke. I will definitely stop here again whenever i’m West Covina. Good job Richie’s, you got a new repeat customer

Had a variety of food from this place, from the chicken sandwiches, to the tenders, to the wings. I highly recommend this spot if you’re craving some spicy chicken. The fries are yummy as they’re seasoned and their food is actually spicy. When they say their stuff is extra hot, they mean it. Definitely get mild if you’re unprepared for food that actually bites back. The wings are delicious and the prices can’t be beat. Definitely the best chicken joint in town for the prices they’re charging. The food is high quality and you won’t be dissapointed. They do charge for extra sauces though, but it’s not unreasonable.

I came to check out Richie’s Hot Chicken after seeing them advertise their $1 Wing Wednesday promotion. The total came out to be $22 for 18 wings. That’s a price you can’t beat! The question for these deals is really how much they sacrifice in quality for the cheap prices and in this case.. a lot. The wings were pretty small which is to be expected for $1 but they were also super dry and seemed overcooked. We had lemon pepper, mango habanero, and Thai chili, and all the seasonings/sauces were pretty good. Even though the wings were so cheap, I left feeling like my chicken cravings weren’t completely satisfied. I wonder if I just came on a bad day because they seemed understaffed and some of their photos of other items still look good. At least for the wings, low prices came with much lower quality.
For now, they need to invest more in their product than their marketing.

This is my second time coming here the first time I went was great they sell carnitas which were good. On 9/14/25 I went less busy then the first time. I don’t understand why they would take my order and forget everything I ordered and how I ordered it. I don’t know who was working that day (9/14/25) but customer service was terrible there was a family there and there ordered was wrong they had to remake and a to go order was waiting for the longest time just to get the coke they ordered. I should have took that as a sign before ordering. No customer service and if you want your order wrong and you want to stand up every second to tell them they forgot something by all means this is the place for you.

Would have been two stars but found hair throughout our food.
My husband saw them featured on the news this morning so we decided to give them a try. Ordered both medium and mild and neither had any spice. Honestly could tell the difference between the two. The fries tasted frozen and the chicken was dry, tough and over cooked. Sauce was bland.
If you’re in La Puente and you want hot chicken go to Hot Chickz. Way better!

AMAZING! I had the Texas toast grilled cheese chicken sandwich with fries and a coke and my husband had Ritchies Special.
BIG portions, you can definitely share!
Texas toast was buttery and the coleslaw and pickles were just right! The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

This place is horrible. There was literally no customers and I’m standing at the register for five minutes before anyone comes out even after screaming hello five times. The lady doesn’t even speak English. I specifically said no coleslaw extra bread. I got my order to go and when I got home, I had coleslaw no bread and no sauce., ridiculous and the fries were terrible felt like they just reheated them. They weren’t even fresh. Definitely stay away from this establishment. I regret coming here. I should’ve went to raising Cane’s but I wanted spicy chicken and the hot spice is not even near anything I would call mild.

The location is kinda rough but that’s no big concern, the restaurant itself is well setup and decorated, very cool mural. Where this fell down is the food.
The cook time was normal for chicken, breading is decent. I ordered both hot and mild to give them a fair shake and quite seriously, neither lived up to their name. Even the spicy had nearly no heat in my opinion and neither had flavor. Even the fries which were absolutely COVERED in seasoning had essentially no flavor. Overall disappointed. They did do a fairly good job of copying Cane’s house sauce.

The store associate is cute and friendly. And really kind to introduce the product they have. But, 4 tenders cost me $18. The flavor is nothing special to me. I’ll not come back for sure.
