Yesterday was my first time trying Richards under new ownership and I was so excited to try it. The customer service was excellent, but the experience feel short to me. Perhaps I caught them on the wrong day. My friend and I went for a nice night out, we are both be vegetarians so our opportunities were limited, but we settled on a few things to share: build your own Mac and cheese bowl, fries and broccoli cheddar soup, yum. It was our turn to order and it turns out they were all out of Mac and cheese and the soup. Bummer. So we ended up with fries and I got ice cream. I tried to order 4 flavors, but they were out of them all. Sigh. I did settle on a flavor that had and got the medium and a pup cup. I have to say that I was impressed with the pup cup as was my pup! My ice cream however, looked so underwhelming in my massive bowl nearly half full where the pup cup with full past the bim.
I was really looking forward to my time there, but needless to say we had to go somewhere else to eat and I’m not sure I’ll be back anytime soon for anything other than a pup cup. 3 stars for a good pup cup and nice staff.

New owners. Got three small hand dipped ice cream cones for under $20. Bargain now a days. Good service and delicious ice cream. Very clean and organized location. 1st time for lunch. Ordered a Sebago burger, which is a double smash burger with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, raw o ion, and sauce, an order of fries and a small soda. The burger was tall and delicious, the fries were crispy and the soda tiny. Very good lunch. $29 with tip. Very good, you should check it out.

Food was really good. The fried chicken was extremely moist and full of flavor. The double smash burger was really good as well. They aren’t fully up and running yet (ice cream portion) so that’ll be another trip back…

Tried dinner here last night- this is absolutely where we will be getting takeout for the summer. Seafood platter was incredible, we were shocked such fresh nice quality seafood coming from an ice cream stand. It beat Bayhaven by a mile. Very very good!

Spent $34 for 2 burgers and onion rings. The burgers were extremely small and undercooked I.e. Raw. The bag of onions rings were good but my wife and I got less than 3 rings each. I was hoping for much better food after viewing the posts. Maybe early opening blues but cannot recommend at this time

The ice cream very good , smash burger excellent, chicken tenders moist and tasty….excellent. The fried clams not so much, WAY too much breading like it was to compensate for the small number of clams, I so wanted to love them but disappointed in the whole belly clams.

Good food, they can not get an order right! Ive given them 3 trys! Thats all there getting, again great burger, but they just can not get it right, ethier completely wrong, or they didnt make it, or oh this must be yours 25mins later! They’d probably do great if they weren’t gabbing! Imagine having a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and no Nashville hot sauce on it!
