I placed an order on Uber Eats for pickup. My husband left one minute later to drive 8 minutes away to pick it up from the restaurant. When he arrived, the blonde at the counter told him the order was canceled. She told him I called and canceled the order, and then changed her story and said Uber Eats called and canceled the order. I of course did NOT call and cancel the order. Why would I do that? We wanted the food; Hence placing the order and sending my husband to get it to begin with.
Okay, whatever, they’ve confused whose order they’ve canceled. Fine. When he asked to just place the order again, the blonde got smart with him and said “well do you have another wife who called and canceled the order?” Excuse me what? Why would you say that? Just take the damn order and make the food. At this point the level of customer service is completely unacceptable. We are in your establishment to give you money for food. Instead of owning up to a simple mistake and just making the order and taking our money, you get ugly and smart with us?
Makes no sense. Anyway, never again. I actually read some bad reviews about Rice Box on Facebook recently but paid no attention because we like the food and eat here regularly, both in the small restaurant and take-out. But this experience was completely uncalled for, unnecessary, and shocking that they would argue with us about such a stupid thing. They could have just made the food and collected $35 from us. Wow. Just wow. And really sad.

Very disappointing experience. We ordered three different dishes, and none of them were good. The Pad Thai and the rice lacked flavor, and the meat did not taste fresh. Overall, the food quality was very poor. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant based on our visit.

Great people! Great food! The blonde worker at the counter, (not going to say her name) is absolutely so helpful and kind! I loved my experience at the rice box.

A small hole in the wall, way off the highway, hides one of Lebanon’s gems. Rice Box is some of the best Asian food in the area. Friendly staff provides great service in a timely manner. The portions are large and the food is so tasteful and delicious!
The only downfall is a small dining area due to location. They do have take away options and phone in your order to grab it and go! (Lots of people did this while we were there.

I wished the food was enjoyable but it wasn’t. I went during lunchtime. The food most definitely wasn’t hot mid-warm when I was actually there when it came out. The food was old, the rice was horrible and over saturated with soy sauce. Broccoli wasn’t cooked in the food, just placed to assemble. The chicken wasn’t bad just didn’t taste authentic Sesame. There was barely sauce on food. The presentation of the food looked good, but food should taste as it looks and this didn’t.
It is sad to get fast food these days when the restaurant employees no longer care about the quality or interacting with you as a person. You are just a receipt number, nothing more.

Rice Box was a really great find! There aren’t many quality Asian cuisine restaurants around the Lebanon/Mt Juliet area so we were really happy to find this place. The food came out hot and fresh, very tasty! The only issue I had with this place was that they served us with paper plates and plastic utensils, which made it difficult to cut food and eat in general. Other than that the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

The food was good. I got mine to go and it was still hot when I got home. The portions are big and well worth the money. The young man at the counter was very nice and helpful.

There’s a reason the wife and I eat here at least once a week. Usually take out. When you find that little mall centered Asian restaurant that makes the food just like you want it…. well you know what I’m talking about. The steamed dumplings, wonton and general Tso’s are our “go to” eats. Love these people and the food they make.
