If you haven’t tried the mango roll at RICE Bistro & Sushi, you’re genuinely missing out on one of Colorado’s quiet culinary miracles. It’s not just good—it’s the kind of roll that makes you sit back, blink twice, and question why every sushi place isn’t doing it like this.

The mango is always perfectly ripe—never mushy, never stringy—just that bright, sweet, juicy goodness that melts into the fresh fish like it was always meant to be together. Every bite is balanced, clean, and honestly a little addictive. It tastes like someone in the kitchen actually cares about what they’re serving, and it shows.

But what really puts RICE Bistro & Sushi on another level is the vibe behind the food. This place is family-friendly to the core—warm, welcoming, and the kind of restaurant where they treat regulars like extended family. You can feel it the moment you walk in. They’re not just serving sushi; they’re building a community table one roll at a time.

You can tell they genuinely care about the people who walk through their doors. They remember faces, they ask how you’re doing, they take pride in making sure everyone—from kids to grandparents—feels like they belong there.

Great food is one thing.
Great people behind the food? That’s rare.
RICE has both—and the mango roll proves it.

Rice Bistro & Sushi has a menu full of gluten-free wonders. I haven’t had so many gluten-free choices at one sitting – ever in my life! It looks like I’ll be going back again and again I took a friend, who also has to eat GF and felt the same way, excited
The only downside was that with the lunch special, they serve a crispy spring roll.which isn’t GF, and they would not substitute for something GF.

We had a 7:30 reservation on Valentine’s Day and placed our order at 7:45. By 9:15, we had still not received our food, despite seeing multiple tables being served and leaving. After nearly two hours, we asked to speak to a manager. I have added a photo to show how empty the restaurant was when we were still waiting for our food. When the manager (Coco) arrived at our table, we expressed our concerns about the delay and being the last table served in the restaurant. Her response was that this level of service should be expected on Valentine’s Day and at least we were able to wait at a table instead of standing waiting for takeout. She offered us a 10% discount but the discount didn’t cover the food that at this point was still not served at the table. When we reiterated that we had waited patiently and watched numerous tables come and go, she told us, we “don’t understand hospitality.” She then turned to my daughter and made an inappropriate comment who was silent through the exchange.

When our waitress eventually brought the check, she was in tears. It was clear she was distressed by the situation as well. It turns out that the check ended up charging us for the food that was not served but we wanted to avoid a further uncomfortable situation and paid for the bill. Given that we have been longtime customers, this experience was beyond disappointing. Looking at other reviews, it seems there have been similar concerns and experiences about management and how it has gone down hill.

Came here for lunch. Got the Chicken Pad Thai, Kung Pao Chicken, and avocado rolls. The avocado rolls were good, but both entrees were extremely bland. Both lacked flavor and were overall mushy and unsatisfying.

Staff was nice, but the food left a lot to be desired.

More like Roach Bistro, seriously. And the Asian manager lady talks about other patrons private business. I don’t care about other people’s private life, it’s their private life. And then she tried to throw her server under the bus, and basically talk trash about the servers, and tell about their private Foods is marginal, being a can of Raid, and don’t tell her anything personal, she BLABS.

Seems to have gone downhill recently. The sushi is still good, but the meat in the hot items was poor. The chicken has been completely overcooked, and the beef seemed as if it was boiled. We gave it another chance after our first experience like this, but it happened again tonight. Unfortunately, multiple people in our family got sick immediately after dinner tonight.
