Andy has the experience in cooking and run the restaurant business over 20 years. He graduated from hotel management and culinary school from Drarakit Pandit university of Thailand and won scholarship to Antwerp,Belgium for culinary school and trained in Alpha Belfry hotel for months. He moved to America since 2000 and started to work in one of the Thai restaurant in Vallejo as a restaurant manager. 2014 Andy opened his own Thai restaurant called Buddha Bistro Vacaville, sooner his restaurant were voted to be topped restaurant to eat in USA rank #20 2014 on yelp. 2017 Andy now open Rice Barn Thai Eatery in Vacaville. The restaurant concept is Authentic northern Thai cuisine with modern twisted. Come to check his place out!

Let’s talk about Rice Barn because… WOW and YUMMY
This was my first time eating here, and honestly? It lived up to the hype — and then some.
I drove over an hour to meet up with family (yes… on a Saturday night ), so I was already hoping it would be worth it. When I walked in and saw the place completely packed — inside full, patio full, people everywhere, even at the bar — I thought, okay… this is a good sign.
And for someone who gets genuinely excited about delicious food that is also plated well, that crowd told me everything I needed to know… when people are happily waiting for a table, you already know yummy food is cooking in the kitchen!
Yes, the seating was a little tight, but that’s just part of dining somewhere this popular. Everyone was there for the same reason: the food. And let me tell you… Rice Barn’s food did NOT disappoint.
Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully plated. You can tell the kitchen really cares about what they’re putting out — it’s made with pride, not just rushed out and plopped on the tables.
If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Thai food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Rice Barn is absolutely worth the wait, worth the hype, and worth every bite.
Already planning my next visit. ️

One our favorite place for Thai food. Service is excellent. They have outdoor dining which is great if you have a dog. We had the crispy calamari, crispy pork belly, chicken green curry, creamy tom yum, chicken pad thai and eggplant with tofu. Everything was good. The pad thai was a little strong on peanut flavor. The crispy pork belly was very good specially if you eat it with the onions.

I had the drunken man noodles, creamy tom yum soup, and mango sticky rice. All dishes were awesome.
Since the place seems pretty popular, you may need to wait 5-10 minutes to get seated.
This is probably tied for my favorite spot in Vacaville. Highly recommended!

Rice Barn is a true Thai food gem. The food, atmosphere, and service are genuine and amazing. The restaurant is clean and has lots of parking, there is a good flow of customers. The Thai tea and Thai coffee are a must-have. For starters, we hand soft shell crabs with crispy noodles and fried calamari. Both are perfectly good and flavorful. Entrees were Drunken Lady Noodles and Basil Chicken with Jasmine rice.. simply amazing, very flavorful, and mind-blowing food overall.

Everything I’ve ever eaten here is great, the food is wonderful. The service is excellent. But for the love of God, please put some felt or rubber tips on the chair legs! When they scrape the floor, the noise is like fingernails on a blackboard. (I’m sure the people working there don’t even notice it anymore.)

Super fast service and the food is so yummy! There are dishes you won’t find in a regular Thai restaurant like Ramen soft shell crab and kao soi. We’ll come back with a larger party next time so we can order more variety. Being Thai I am picky about my Thai food so this is highly recommended. We drive an hour just to come here.

I like the pad Thai and how big the serving is , some Thai restaurant are just so small serving. The pork belly appetizer is good too. The crispy chicken fried rice it’s ok, the rice has some kind a flavor that I don’t like. We surely will be back to try other food. I hope they are strict with food-contact because I’m bringing my son who is allergic to peanut servers are friendly , cocktails are very sweet which I don’t like ♀️ pricey too beyond that pretty good
