First visit. Tried the BBQ Platter, smoked beans, fries, and green chile stew. The ribs and beans were outstanding. The stew and fries were great too.. the brisket was tender, but not the best I’ve had. Will definitely visit again for the Ribs ! The service was excellent…super friendly and constantly refilling our drinks…wonderful lady.

The wait staff and people are very nice and friendly. Service is excellent. The meats however would make a Texan go hungry. While presentation, price and portion would make you think you’re in for a treat. You’d better order a large drink, a second round and extra sauce to get it down. Brisket, links, ribs, pork all very very dry and bland. Turn the temp down and some seasoning. Other than that pretty decent experience.

Went with a large group imcluding children. Service was excellent! I had their green chili stew and it was excellent. Thick chunky pieces of tender beef, green chili was hot enough but didnt burn your tongue. Potatoes were soft and tasty. It came with a nice hot tortilla. I ordered a large bowl and I was so full and even had enough to take home.

Don’t let the negative reviews sway you. The smoked wings and rib ends were yummy. We liked the rib ends a bit better. The green chili stew was very meaty and so tasty! The staff are all super friendly and nice! We’re looking forward to coming back soon. We want to try the Buffalo burger and brisket.

Very nice bbq joint in NM. We’ve been to many bbq shacks and this one is probably my favorite.
The portions aren’t taking lightly, they want you leaving with a full belly.
We did the combination plate. Ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and hot links with baked beans and MAC. On point! Every bite was satisfying.
The smell of the smoker when you walk in gets your appetite excited.
I highly recommend this place if you are passing through.

Always great food and service! They smoked a ham and turkey for $20 each and it was worth every penny!! Best smoked ham I’ve ever had! I highly recommend Ribs anytime you’re in the East Mountains!

Fish is good, burgers looked good. Do not order the chicken fried steak!! It’s one of those processed pucks they pull out the freezer and throw in the fryer. Very disappointing. But my fault. It’s a barbecue place so order barbecue. The macaroni wasn’t very good either try another side. Tea tasted like the tap water in the area. But they do have some good food. I just had bad luck I guess.

If you’re visiting from Oklahoma you have to try this place. The fried okra is the best I’ve had here. They may not have “armadillo eggs” but it’s as close to “Jake’s Rib” as you will find here. The sliced brisket was amazing and the ribs and hot links are amazing as well. Key lime pie is homemade and so are the chips you get with the salsa. And you know you’re in a real bbq place when you get wet wipes with your meal.
