They so kindly emailed me a $10 coupon.
Well…. This time, when I ordered, I called up there 4 times and wasn’t able to get through to anyone because of their phone lines being down. Finally, someone called me from their personal phone, I believe it was. I let them know I didn’t want anything on my sandwich, and I wanted it on the side due to the drive home, and I didn’t want it to get soggy! (Bread gets soggy with stuff on it for my drive home) Which was lettuce, tomato, mayo, and honey mustard especially (I was actually really looking forward to with the sandwich it sounded good, that is why I wanted to try it) when I got home there was nothing but the sandwich. None of the sandwich toppings or sauces!! Nothing on the side.
While I used the coupon, I still spent $13.27 on the sandwich, and they STILL got my order wrong! 🙁
IF you order to go from here, I just ADVISE CHECKING YOUR STUFF BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!!!!!! Nothing bad to say about them. The workers have been nice each time. You should just check your stuff before you leave.
I almost never write bad reviews this is probablymy 2nd or 3rd ever, but my experience was extremely unsatisfactory. The waitress was very kind, so that wasn’t the issue but the food was a few steps below sub par. First my meal was a pulled pork sandwich. The first two bites were nothing bus greasy fat that wasn’t even edible so I had to spit it out, then it was heavily riddled with grissle that I had to spit out because it was also inedible. Asside front that the pork had very little flavor. Now to my girlfriend’s meal, she wanted a potato, just a potato. How much do you think a potato should cost $5? $7? $10? It was $15! For a potato. Thats beyond absurd. She didn’t order any meat on it and she received a dismal amount of sour cream and cheese. And besides that the potato was so overgrown thatshe couldn’t even finish half of it due to the poor taste. We will never be back and I won’t be recommending this place to anyone.
Got seated right away as we got in on the tail end of lunch. The hostess got our drink order rather quickly. But the lunch order took longer to place as she was finishing up with multiple customers; obtaining refills, bringing out orders, getting to-go boxes for leftovers, etc. No worries on our end as she was doing her best.
Got our order placed as we got fried Okra for appetizer. My as on got the two meat combo as did I. He got fried chicken and ribs. Sides were mashed potatoes and gravy along with corn on cob. I got pulled pork and brisket. Sides were mashed potatoes and gravy with fries. My son stated his was pretty good except the mashed potatoes tasted as they came from a box. I concured. Lumps in potato mix maybe to simulate that of real potatoes that were mashed. Gravy was mediocre. My fries were good not great. Corn on cob was really good according to my son. His fried chicken was flavorful and cooked spot on. Pulled pork was tender but we both felt it lacked in seasoning and smoked flavor. My brisket was nice and tender. Moderate flavor but not much smoke flavor detected. The sauces offered helped. He had a soda and I had sweet tea. The tea was fantastic!
The desert was free for it was our birthday. Our hostess took care of this. We got a brownie sundae with Vanilla Beane ice cream. It was very good!
Certainly would go back to this Rib Crib location in Joplin. It’s been a decade at least since I had been to the Springfield MO Rib Crib. Longer for the Joplin local. We were very happy we went and had a great time.
By the way, the fried Okra, it was perfect and plenty of it. A lot of leftovers to be had later as we couldn’t finish it.
