I’ve been going religiously for 16 years, every Wednesday, to The Ribs restaurant. I love the taste of the ribs; it’s a very pleasant place to spend time with family and friends. I went to the one in La Mesa for 15 and a half years, and I’ve been going to this one in West Towne for 6 months now because my favorite waiter, David, stopped working there after finishing school and is now pursuing his chosen career. This new one in West Towne is great because the waiters and waitresses are very friendly and always greet you with a smile, and the place is incredible. I miss the one in La Mesa, but I live 5 minutes from West Towne, and with the weekday traffic, it’s better to stay at this closer one. Besides, the cooks are amazing because the flavor is very different and super delicious. Both restaurants, La Mesa and West Towne, are delicious, but each cook adds their own personal touch, and I’ve had the chance to meet them, and they are very friendly.

Went on 12/7 around 3pm . My second waitress by the name Jacqulyn Y . was extremely rude and hostile. She raised her voice at me for requesting my receipt after she took away the paying pad right away from me (she didn’t let me get the chance to choose an option to print my receipt ). Then asking me if I’m okay and if I didn’t like the service or the waitress before her (which I did because my 1st server before her was wonderful ! But Jacagulyn Y started giving me attitude for no reason). I’ve never felt so uncomfortable and confused with this interaction over receipt paper . She yelled “YOU’RE GOOD” and walked away quickly to the back leaving behind the paying pad to my brother . I did speak to the manager but very little concerned about the situation . The girl came out from the back minutes after to give me my receipt all happy like that awful incident didn’t just happen .. Very unprofessional and extremely disappointed with my visit . I will never go back again..

We had a quick little date night here and it was delicious! My husband got the burger and he said it was ok but that he wouldn’t particularly order it again. I got the small combo platter and it was delicious! The service was fast and friendly. Our waitress was Bri and she was sooo sweet! Also, I highly recommend their flavored teas, they’re to die for!

I’ve been going to Rib Hut for about 40 years and now they choose to start charging for an extra cup of sauce on take out?? If I was Dining in, I would not get charged! Three meat combo, and only 2oz. of sauce just won’t cut it. I think y’all can spare 2-2oz.cups of sauce on a $60 take out bill. C’mon Ms. Brenda, we love ya, love us back with that sauce!! I miss Ruben!!

Waited to be seated with 5 open tables,just to be told to sit wherever. Finally got our drinks 10 mins later. Still weren’t given menus. Finally got menus another 15 mins passed never got our order taken. Lots of young staff walking around no one acknowledged us. Semi clean restaurant. Horrible service. We love the rib hut on mesa hoped for the same experience our 1st time at this hut was awful.

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND FOOD! We ordered cheese sticks. They came to table and were still frozen in the middle. We waited 5 minutes, our server was nowhere. My husband took the cheese sticks to bar n someone took them back. They send out new ones, which were cooked through. Our food comes. The Mac and cheese was soggy n flavorless. Country fried steak flat no seasoning, baked potato overcooked, gravy clumpy. Burger had no cheese, no seasoning…ribs were mostly fat n not tender at all. Server come to check on us n we sent all food back. Manager comped our meal but never came to table or anything. There was a party being set up outside, so I guess that was more important than manager coming to tall about the situation. If I could give no stars I would.

I have to admit that I am very picky with food and service, and this place has it all. Food was delicious, super fast service, our waiter (sorry, forgot his name) was very nice and friendly, and the place was super clean. Plus, super affordable prices. Will definitely continue to visit this restaurant.

This place has good food but needs better customer service. Soon as I walked in one of the workers there stared at me from head to toe it was a bit weird. I brushed it off… I get home and I had ordered the grilled chicken which comes with one piece of chicken breast. It’s $12. Tell me why it’s literally a chicken breast cut in half. I was in shock and honestly could not believe it. I know prices are getting high but I have never seen anything like this in my life. And to make it worse it was so thin. If you can’t serve a whole breast just charge more instead of tenderizing the piece to the point where it’s so thin just to make it look big. And one piece of lettuce…. That was kinda funny lol.

Stopped by on a Friday afternoon for dinner. My wife had the small combo plate with baby backs and chicken. I had the brisket plate. Both dishes were delicious. My wife had coleslaw and fried okra, I had beans and potato salad. All sides were also delicious. The meat had a great flavor and my brisket was juicy. Our waiter Mike was awesome, he was friendly, professional and attentive. The price was very reasonable for the food we ordered. There is a bar and a patio. The TV screens are inside. I didn’t see screens outside. Nice restaurant that I highly recommend.
