Rey Azteca is ridiculously overpriced. $4 for a soft drink is absurd. I ordered the lunch Al Pastor burrito (minus the pineapple) which was $15, a typical dinner price at any other Mexican restaurant. The food came out quickly but the server Tina was never seen again until she dropped off the check after about 1 bite of the food. I asked for a side of hot sauce which is normally on the table at any other Mexican restaurant and was told it would be $3, so basically this place wants to nickel & dime you death for mediocre food. Almost $50 for two lunches and a cocktail is pretty wild. Buyer beware!

Ray Azteca is always an excellent choice for a Mexican dinner . They have an extensive menu, and we have never been disappointed by the food quality, though i have to recommend always get the large order of Guacamole for $16 as the smaller $8 portion is the same size as a regular salsa bowl and not really worth it for $8.

Also, one improvement they could make for the atmosphere to be 5 stars is to prepare their guacamole fresh, tableside, as some of their competitors do.

That would be perfection.

I decided to DoorDash an order, well, that was a mistake. I specifically put for the steak tacos, no toppings (see picture) and they put the toppings on anyways. I called once it was delivered and they told me to call DoorDash. Why is it their problem that the restaurant sent incorrect food? So, I contact DoorDash and they provide a $3 refund for a $16 meal, absolutely ridiculous. And now, we have a meal we can’t eat. Such a terrible experience all around. I’ve been a loyal customer for almost 15 years so I’m extremely bummed.

This restaurant is wonderful for eating in and take out. The salsa is delicious, as is all of the food I have tried. Highly recommend the Pepe meal. Festive and bright interior. Friendly and accommodating staff.

I’ve had authentic Mexican food after living in Mexico for a number of years and some of the dishes here were very similar. The food was fresh, tasty and delivered within 15 minutes from time of order. We will go here again.
