Reventon in Wallington has quickly become one of my favorite local spots. They recently introduced student specials for the nearby middle and high schools, which is a smart, community-focused move and genuinely helpful for families.

Service is where this place really shines. The staff is consistently attentive, respectful, and genuinely warm- exactly what you expect from a family-run Peruvian restaurant that takes pride in its reputation. The space is well kept, and even the restroom is spotless, which says a lot about how seriously they approach the whole operation.

As for the food: the overall menu has a strong lineup of authentic Peruvian dishes, not just the student specials. Right now, I’d put most items at about a 4.5 out of 5- very good, with room to grow. The flavors are solid and portions are generous, but you can tell there’s still untapped potential for the place to reach that truly standout level as they refine things.

Even so, the combination of community involvement, great service, cleanliness, and an already strong menu makes this an easy five-star pick for me- and I’m excited to see how they keep improving.

Such a beautiful place ; cute, cozy, modern atmosphere, and creative decor. Not crowded at all which was a major plus!
The waiter was super sweet, nice, and attentive.
The food was not bad… unfortunately not the best Peruvian food I’ve had, but I still enjoyed it. The ceviche mixto was def a 4/5 though!

When I try ceviche and jalea that is one of the best food over here!!!!!! I haven’t ate something like this since when I was in Peru and they are really nice and the servers excellent world class, the place is really nice, fancy, and amazing Machu Picchu wall, you should come over there it is really worth your time eating and the price is fair

First time. Nice big place with cool vibes. Enjoyed the Beef Chaufa (mixed rice) and my friend enjoyed the Pollo Salgado. Both dishes were flavorful and the service was very good Prices are per Today’s standards.. I would definitely recommend

By far the worst Peruvian restaurant I’ve been to. I ordered my drinks first then my appetizers . The appetizers came before the drinks the waitress brings no cups no plates until we asked . So here are the appetizers sitting on the table waiting 10 min for the waitress to come back around so we can ask for plates . Papa and yuka a la huacaina were just ok . The chorros a la chalaca the worst I ever had . Not cold not fresh and an extreme amount of salt . I ordered a churrasco as you see in the picture this is not a churrasco I told the waitress she said it is and that she would ask the cook . The cook confirmed it’s a churrasco. I will never come back to this place you guys really give Peruvian food a bad reputation. I suggest you change cooks , waitress , everything around . $317.00 dollars not worth.

Overall the place has a lot of potential but they really need to improve on their customer service. My wife and I went there to have a nice dinner and we saw they had a lot of space inside for dinning in (about 6 tables that seat 4ppl on each comfortably) very nicely decorated(rustic look). They have parking on the back of the restaurant but we went to park and there was no space for us because it already was pack with 2 cars.(better snow removal of the parking lot needed) There is parking on the side street of the restaurant but make sure to check the street signs as it maybe be limited time parking. Now to the food part of the night…we sat down and ordered two separate items from their menu. The lady took our order but didnt write it down. The drinks came out and we were having a nice time until the food came out and they brought the wrong order for my wife. We told the lady that took the order if she could please correct this and she took the food with her and then came back with the same food saying that it couldn’t be changed. We then decided that we still wanted what my wife had originally ordered and told the lady to please place the order again and now I have my order but my wife has something infront of her that she can’t eat because it not what she ordered. Time passes and her original order comes out. In the end we still had to pay for the extra order that we didnt order and we really tired to make the best of the situation. We still left the 15%tip as we didn’t know if it was the kitchen’s mistake or management’s and didn’t want to punish the waitress. But overall I believe that service needs to improve.

SADLY THIS PLACE IS A RIPPED OFF. 2 dishes for $35, it’s a steal, not only to the customer, to the community. I put a half lime as a reference of how small is the dishes and the portions. True I don’t want to say anything about the taste. First and last time I would buy there.

This is the worst Perúvian food ever! Portions are ridiculously small. I have been eating Peruvian food for 20 yrs and this is just unacceptable. The owner and his patrons need it be known that they are practicing poor business conduct. Do not eat here. It is worth driving further and getting quality you pay for. Most expensive prices and worst food is el reventón in wallington nj ! Thx for ur response but this is what chauffa is supposed to look like. By the way I’m not the only one people are calling reventón a disgrace it’s right up on the site!?
