Otherwise, the Crème Brûlée, scrambled eggs with pepper jacks cheese, Gouda grits, & sausage links were tasty.
Can’t say much about the physical establishment for obvious reasons, but I’d come back. Oh, & the host was very polite & customer oriented.
My mother insists on having her coffee so hot that it is practically nuclear. The server heated her mug with boiling water and then immediately poured her coffee. My 84 year old mom was happy (for once!). Lol.
Staff went above and beyond.
The food here is absolutely to die for. I need to say that first and foremost. The Kitchen Sink meets all the breakfast cravings. The Lemon Blueberry Sweetcakes will have you thinking you’ve experienced true nirvana. And oh goodness, the Gouda grits are your mawmaw’s recipe reimagined. It’s truly a foodie paradise.
However, I must warn you of the service. I feel it’s most accurately described as “consistently mediocre”. One visit the server couldn’t even remember the menu, let alone to bring our drinks before the food. Another time we had to ask a completely different server for our check because we hadn’t been check upon since we ordered. This last time was the straw that broke the camel’s hump; we had to ask twice for a coffee mug, the English muffin included in the meal was forgotten about, and the server was in general distracted- something I should’ve come to expect at this point.
Maybe the servers at Reveille need a true wake up call when it comes to attentiveness.
We were seated promptly once we were at the front of the line and ordered immediately since we had more than enough time to look at the menu. Ordered the mystic French toast and El matador omelette and my partner had the cinnamon loaf, peanut butter pancakes, and biscuit and gravy.
The mystic French toast were great and I’d order it again but that was it for me. The El matador omelette was too watery because of the pico and could’ve used more salt in my opinion so I didn’t really enjoy it. Otherwise the potatoes were nice and crispy.
Tried the biscuit and gravy and the cinnamon bread and those were pretty standard and tasted good.
Our server was nice and efficient and our food came out fairly quickly.
