My family and I recently visited Reuben Haus in Palmer, and it was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. Tucked right next to 203 Kombucha, the setting has a real family-friendly, laid-back vibe—perfect for a casual summer meal.
We started with the Reuben Sandwich (corned beef, bacon, beer-braised sauerkraut, Tillamook Swiss, house Russian dressing on marbled rye) and couldn’t stop smiling—the flavors were perfectly balanced and satisfyingly hearty . Next up was the addictive Reuben Bowl—all the classic fillings served over zesty fries. Parents and kids alike raved about it.
The real star, though, was the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich. Juicy, smoky, and crisp, with garlic-brined chicken, slaw, and pepperoncini aioli—truly next-level . Each bite was a perfect crunchy-creamy harmony.
We also loved the Zesty Fries, which paired beautifully with kicked-up ketchup, and the Kale Salad—a fresh, maple-tahini-tinged option with cranberries and coconut almonds to round things out .
Service was friendly and prompt—our order was ready in no time, and the team was attentive without being intrusive . It’s clear they care about quality ingredients and giving guests a warm, welcoming experience.

One of our favorite places to eat in all of Alaska! The Reuben sandwich and bowl is fantastic, but that chicken sandwich might be the best thing there is! Order it to go or stay and grab some kombucha, either way you won’t be disappointed!

We were very happy with our lunch from Reuben Haus. The food was made to order. The Reuben sandwich was meaty, the bread was great, and the flavor was superb. The buttermilk fried chicken sandwich was legit with a huge piece of meat and yummy toppings. The fries were average but we’re still yummy to eat. The lady at the counter was very friendly and the food was ready in about five minutes. We would definitely go again!

Decided to try this little food truck on a whim, & like the other reviews the Reuben, chicken sandwich, & large zesty fries did not disappoint! Kind & quick service, and the outside seating was a plus on a 70+ degree weather day. Highly recommend! But, if coming with kids no booster seats/high chairs available, so bring your stroller or sit at the picnic tables.

We always look forward to when they open for the season. Their chicken sandwich and reubens are amazing. I order both every time I go because choosing is just impossible for me haha They are served with fries and it’s all hot & fresh. I looove their ketchup. They’re also very friendly!
