Absolutely blown away by this place. We tried the quesabirria pizza and the chile relleno pizza, and both were incredible. The quesabirria pizza came with a side of consomé that was hands down some of the best I’ve ever had—rich, flavorful, and perfect for dipping.
The salsas are out of this world, seriously next level, and the aguas frescas were the bomb—super refreshing and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of love and creativity goes into the food here.
If you’re into Mexican flavors with a unique twist, this spot is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back.

My new favorite pizza place! Pizza and tacos are two of my favorite foods, but not something I ever thought of putting together. This place is brilliant 🙂 My husband and I tried both the quesabirria and the al pastor pizza. I’m not sure which I like best- both were so good! The staff were extremely friendly and generous from the second we walked in. There was so much on the menu I still want to try, so we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended 🙂

But a new comer is here with a twist on the pie game that will blow your pizza mind! The unique pairing of Mexican cuisine and pizza sets Retroz Pizza apart from the rest. We had the Tinga and Arrachera pizza, 6 piece wings, rice, and beans. Every bite was as if I were being introduced to my old friends for the first time. Flavorful, unique, and delicious! The pizza was amazing, thin crust, gooey cheese, Mexican shredded chicken or skirt steak, cilantro, onion. Oh my God! The chicken wings are smoked or smoked and fried. Unexpectedly amazing. The service was outstanding! The decor is covered in hand painted custom art work paying tribute to Mexican heritage. Retroz is definitely a vibe. If you are in the Blue Island area, do yourself a favor and stop in to Retroz Pizza. You will not be disappointed!

I really wanted to love this place with its super cool art and esthetic. However, our group ordered separate meals and then a pizza to share. After an hour of not receiving our pizza they said it was never written down but they could rush it, we declined. We were never checked on after receiving our food and had to get up to ask for various items. The food we got was pretty good, but overall disappointing.

had the birria pizza, buffalo wings and fries. pizza looked good but was very bland and so was the consume. the wings had the texture of being cooked sitting out and cooked again. ranch was store bought. fries were good though. place is way smaller than it looks in the pictures, but aesthetics were dope. loved the artwork. only 2 arcade games in a small corner. service was decent though despite the other reviews, the guy was real cool and laidback.

Came in trying it for the first time ordering a large cheese pizza. Staff was incredible. price was awesome. They even gave me a slice to go. Recommend it to anyone in the area or out. Taste was Great.

Great place to bring your family for amazing pizzas! The ambience is great, the food is excellent, and the staff are friendly! The wait on the pizzas didn’t even feel like much of a wait because of how much my whole family enjoyed this place! Can’t wait to come back!

Stopped in after seeing this spot on TikTok and had to give it a try. We ordered the char-broiled steak tacos, quesabirria tacos, chicken tacos, and chile relleno tacos—and everything was delicious. Definitely worth checking out! Next time, I’m trying the Mexican pizzas.

This was my 1st time going to Retro Pizza. The burger & fries are great!! The only problem was they forgot to add Jalapeños to one of the burgers. Overall, Good Food , Great Atmosphere & Good Service!

New restaurant on the block their food is amazing. I had the Birria tacos and my daughter had the pepperoni pizza very tasting. The restaurant was very welcoming. Great customer service. The set up is so cool. I will be back.
