This little Michelin recommended place was ok. Not fantastic. We had one dish that was fantastic— the radish wrapped pork in the pic of the large platter. Bro buns just ok. Mango salad good. Pad Thai missing something. Tamarind or not enough and Barry any peanuts. The shrimp were three large shrimp and while odd number for a set menu for two they were amazing. Dumplings were not fish but tasted fishy. Service very very good. No smokers while we were there. That would have been unpleasant since there is little ventilation. Had a ginger cocktail that was phenomenal.

Let’s start with the service and the place ! People really friendly and also kind! They helped us with the choice of food and explained everything. The place is warm and has a little bit of style ! Is not so loud in styling like a commercial store.
We tried pad krapow kai, mi thit bo, loptice od Krabi Kom, pork belly, duck pao buns.
From the above everything was tasty and don’t get me wrong for 4star it is just two plates we weren’t sure about the taste.
If you visit the place you need to try for sure the mi that Bo noodles and beef, lopsided od krabe which is crab minced ball and any pao bun !
They deserve to be called Michelin and you just have to try it.
We didn’t try soup but as we read from reviews it should be nice !

A decent asian (mostly Vietnamese and Thai) restaurant. We came back for a second time to try out more stuff a few days later.
We loved the Mi Thit Bo. The beef is smoky and tender. The richness of it is well balanced with the savory notes.
The Miang Kham is a must-have. It’s actually a “flavor bomb”. You will be smiling after the first bite, trust me.
Their green curry is REALLY spicy. Avoid if you don’t like that.
I’d prefer the sweet potato fries crunchy. They are soft and soggy.

Seeing Istok on Michelin’s Bib Gourmand list again this year was no surprise—it’s consistently fantastic. Heart-warming staff members know their menu very well and are always ready to recommend a dish or two if you’re second-guessing your choice.
Situated in arguably the most popular part of downtown Belgrade, it’s super easy to find, especially during the warm months when they set up their little garden.
I’m a frequent visitor, and dishes like Mi Thit Bo, Sticky Pork, Pad Thai, and Miang Kham keep me coming back. It’s definitely worth a look if you’re exploring more of Belgrade’s food scene. Always on my top 5 list when recommending places to eat in Belgrade to visitors.
Also, have you visited their offshoots, Istok Hangar and Istok Outpost? Outpost opened less than two years ago and offers a fresh take on Thai, Korean, and Vietnamese street food. Istok Hangar’s menu combines the two, and Istok Not Istok will open soon. All in all, glad to see this family grow and open spots around Belgrade.

We’ve ordered pho bo delivery many times and decided to go to the restaurant and give it a try. Our expectations weren’t too high, just reasonable. But… the pad thai was good, but a bit low for 1700 dinars. The fried ice cream dessert was a good idea, but since it was brought right away, it wasn’t ice cream at all, it was just goo. The “bring the desserts later” option wouldn’t have worked anyway, because “they’ve already been made.” So no one cares how the dish ends up on the table, the main thing is to make it. The mango dessert was okay, but I didn’t understand how the different parts of the dessert were supposed to interact: the dulce de leche is already sweet and rich enough to completely overwhelm all the other flavors. The matcha meringue, however, was fantastic! I would have served it separately. The last thing they agreed to remove from the bill was the chicken dumplings. There was less chicken in all of them than in the single piece of chicken from the pad thai. Everything else is just mushrooms and onions. And not a word about it on the menu. At first, I even thought they brought the vegetarian version by mistake, but then what was that little bit of chicken doing there? It would seem simple enough to just add the ingredients to the menu, but… Unfortunately, even good restaurants can go under if the owners don’t care.

First meal in Belgrade. We came here cause of the Michelin guide. The food was ok and price was fair. Great service and nice atmosphere.

Probably to high expectations as it holds a micheline recommendation and has reputation of the best asian restaurant in Belgrade. The food was good but a I expected a bit more Asian menu. Really good service. Atmosphere was deceptive I a cam too late in the coldest day in year, so it was empty, literally. But it’s not big place, more like a street food restaurant. Overall, good place, but I expected more

I ordered pho bo through delivery. This is what I received — a few strands of noodles, onion, and bean sprouts. Guys, seriously? Is this supposed to be pho bo? What happened to you? Where are the noodles? I used to order your soup regularly and loved it. But this is too much.

We had lunch, pho, buns with duck and spring rolls with shrims, everything so fresh and tasteful. Also a must try us their homemade ginger soda with proseco. Overall, a place to feel like home and come back often.

Ordered via delivery and was very disappointed. The dish contained about half of the meat portion you would reasonably expect — far less than what is served in the restaurant itself. For this price point, that’s unacceptable.
This feels misleading and unfair to delivery customers. Until portion sizes are consistent, I wouldn’t recommend ordering from here again.
