I’ve traveled all over the world and this is on my top 3 best restaurants. The food is incredible to say the least! The quality of the aliment is insanely fresh, the sushi are by far one of the best I’ve ever had ! The ambiance is ideal for a great date night, the view is breathtaking

This Sushi restaurant used to be a favorite – service & food quality have diminished over the years. Still a nice outing, but nothing to rave about

Miso soup had no taste.
Sashimi was ok, but again, nothing to crave.

We went for a birthday celebration and the staff forgot to bring out a desert with candle.

Not to sound too snobby but I have eaten sushi all over the world. No where better than here. I was shocked. I went back to back nights. This place is a must. The octopus skewers and green tea napoleon are crazy good. The fish was all excellent. The sushi chefs are hard working artists. The interior is very posh. This place is on floor 11 with a nice view. I walked back to my hotel. (Jw Marriott) and was amazed by the neighborhood and how nice and easy to walk. The cocktails are interesting and unique. They have a specialty drink menu and was impressed.

Nigiri is amazing! Have to try the Japan shipped uni as the California uni cannot compare. Totally worth it. The most amazing surprise is the dessert-Petit Gateau which both waiters recommended. Forgot to take the pictures but it’s to die for!!!!! Please try this dessert when you visit.

What a delicious experience, dining at Makoto. It’s perfect for a romantic dinner date. We tried a variety of dishes, and will soon return for more! We ordered the truffle salmon, rainbow roll maki, the spicy yellowtail with japaleno maki, the yellowtail and oh-toro nigiris, and the shortrib yaki noodles. All the dishes were insane, the fish felt fresh and the cuts were perfect, and the shortrib noodles incredily flavorful. For dessert, we ordered the baked alaska, which was good, and the petit gateau, which blew us away – the dulce de leche filling was sweet but not overwhelming, and the flavors played wonderfully together. The service was also lovely, friendly and knowledgeable.

A great Japanese restaurant all around. You sit in an amazing terrace and ger great views of the city while eating some of the best Japanese food outside of Japan. Come here for the food and hang out for the vibes (and drinks)

In general the place is nice. Service is good but too many personnel is taking care of you. Food is ok but not very fantastic and a bit overpriced in my opinion. It was too cold inside because of the AC. So far it was the best place in Panama in terms of the level but still I had better experience somewhere else in the world

Best sushi and seafood I have had. Great views of the city from the outdoor seating. Good collection of Japanese sake and wine.

The last time I came here was for my birthday 3 yrs ago. Let’s say I tried to drink my way through the menu then. But now!!!

I was hoping to find the deliciously different sake options but No! The only, by the glass sake offered, was AMERICAN!! A pity.

Having been initially disappointed by the lack of sake I ordered a Japanese Negroni it was excellent. The food options are medium expensive but extremely well prepared and presented.

Staff excellent.

Ambiance busy. Filled with the upper middle class of Panama you are rubbing shoulders with the yuccies of Panama.

I sat outside opting out of the glacial indoor seating. You wanna stay at the North pole? Then bring a woolly jersey.

Glass of excellent alboriño in my hands, I ate the king prawn tempura. And! I was in heaven small details missing in the tempura (no daikon puree nor grated ginger) but hey it was only $16.

I spoke to the sushi chef. They’ve 3 options:
– $50
– $75
– $150 Omekase (11 sushi)

Imo, not too expensive for what it is..If you want naff Jap food go to nacion sushi.

Conclusion:
Probably the best japanese restaurant in all of Panamá. A place to come n eat high quality seafood.

Easily the best dining experience I’ve had—simply EPIC. The ambience was warm and inviting (9/10), and the service was flawless (10/10).

The appetizers, featuring grilled octopus and wagyu wontons, were both outstanding (10/10). Our entrées—branzino and skirt steak—were perfectly executed (10/10), and the desserts continued the high standard (10/10).

Cocktail options were diverse and well-crafted (9/10), and the servers’ knowledge of the menu was exceptional (10/10).

Highly recommend for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience.
