Wonderful restaurant, with delicious food. Atmosphere was relaxing with nice ambiance music. Tried the calf’s liver and it was the best choice.
Restaurant was not busy when we went so the service felt a bit lacking, took some time until the waitress came to pick our order. A little more attention would matter for the overall experience.

Originally my wife and I walked to Gasthaus Buchecker & Sohn hoping to get some food. We walked in for a table of 2, there were seats open but were told that nothing was available. No wait time, just a “sorry”. Maybe because we didn’t speak the language? …
So we stumbled upon Wiener Wirtschaft. Kraus took very good care of us. She was very helpful, friendly, and spoke good English.
Food was good, nice atmosphere, We had the duck leg which was my favorite dish. My wife really enjoyed the goulash. Good experience all in all. Would recommend checking them out!

We had a pleasant experience in this restaurant. We ordered the classics and a bottle of Riesling. The service was great and they were super attentive with us. My main critique was the execution of the schnitzel. The breading fully separated from the veal, usually indicating a poor cooking method and execution. The flavour however was good. I don’t know if would recommend this restaurant, but we certainly had a positive experience.

I wanted to try an authentic schnitzel in Vienna, and this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The schnitzel was perfectly prepared—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and complemented beautifully by a touch of lemon, cranberries and a fresh mixed salad. I left both full and satisfied. The service was equally delightful, warm, and attentive. Without a doubt, a well-deserved 5 stars.

A quiet restaurant, ideal for a short lunch or dinner break from the noisy city centre. Goulash and the beef were great, with quality ingredients and a rich tastes. The service is also wonderful, our waiter was especially welcoming and was a helpful resource when picking the right meal.

A very good restaurant overall owned by the hotel. I ordered “one rack of lamb” while what I had in my dish was maybe only 1/3 of a rack which was not at all what I was expecting. Otherwise the rest , including the service was good. Of note, they say the restaurent is open till 23h, but they close their kitchen much earlier at 21h30

The food here is actually quite good, but the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. One male server, in particular, was incredibly disrespectful. He completely ignored me throughout the meal while being warm and attentive to every other table.
To make matters worse, he used ‘stealth selling’ tactics to overcharge me. After I ordered, he casually asked if I wanted ‘potatoes or fries.’ I assumed it was a side included with my main dish, but it turned out to be an extra charge I didn’t ask for. He never ask other table like this.
His attitude made me feel unwelcome, as if I didn’t belong there. It felt like a textbook case of racial discrimination against people of color. Save your money and go somewhere that treats all customers with basic human decency.

I had a great meal and time at this place. Reserving early is a must as they are always fully booked. I was by myself and sat at the bar, only way I could get in the same day. What I enjoyed most was the two gentlemen working there as wait staff- they are so professional with this Viennese attitude and professionalism which is almost entertaining in and by itself. The delicious meal of beef broth, Rostbraten and their pancakes was accompanied and washed down by Austrian beer, wine, and rum. Most enjoyable and a place to return!

The potato salad was absolutely delightful. Schnitzel was good, so was the cranberry sauce. It was my first Ottakringer and it didn’t impress me (sorry Vienneses). The service was courteous and I was served the food promptly.
