Lobster hard, rubbery, and no flavor at all! waiter Frank was rude and needs better customer service skills! All staff there are snobby and rude. Also it smelled like sewage the whole time we were trying to eat. Don’t recommend at all.
This place can get busy so arrive before the lunch/dinner rush. Important to note – CASH only. There are ATM’s nearby.
Price-wise; It’s not much more than the other restaurants and the quality is just amazing! Everything from the lobster to the sides and the flour tortillas are all great! They have a very extensive menu and you can see inside the kitchen as they cook everything up. They have a very nice ocean view and several seating areas both inside and out; they also have a bar area and plenty of ocean-view tables with heaters. The service is very quick and we honestly could not be happier; we will be coming here when in Puerto nuevo from now on!
We were seated at a table overlooking the ocean. We had steak and lobster combos and mahi mahi fish, and a couple of beers. Chips and great salsas to start us off plus a tortilla soup. Total was under $100 US or under $2000 mxn. I would not say this is expensive unless you are comparing it to a little Taco stand.
Waiter was awesome and helpful. 3 different bands came by looking for tips to play live music.
Food was so good. Beans were the best. Lobster is king in this town.
Parking may be an issue but they tell you where to go. We had no wait Sat 3pm
We ordered their signature dish that was prominently advertised in the postings in the restaurant. It contained lobster plus fried breaded fish filet, grilled octopus, bacon wrapped shrimp, breaded fried shrimp and boiled shrimp.
We paid $200 (US $) for the lunch for 3 people. They accepted only cash.
The lobsters were not fresh. They had gone bad. I know very well how to tell the difference because I live in San Francisco Bay area and eat lobster frequently in Chinese restaurants and purchase them from Chinese grocery stores.
In short we had a bad and expensive lunch. I confronted the waiter and his manager (I suppose) but they didn’t seem to care.
