The food was great! Matches what I would expect Mexican food should taste like, but I have no authentic experience to base that on .
With the tiny number of staff, the place was kept cozy and humble with great vibes. However, they did make a few small mistakes, clearly due to a little too much pressure.
All that said, I sure hope they stick around and I will certainly return for more!

Great service and amazing food highly recommend the tacos al pastor, alambre, enchiladas and enmoladas!
Cocktails are goooood too and the terrace gives beach bar vibes with an amazing sunset.

I’ve recently been to Nixtamal twice, and both times were a delight. The food is absolutely delicious and clearly prepared with care. I’m no expert, but the recipes taste genuinely authentic Mexican to me. The tacos and nachos are top-notch, and the appetizers are so generously sized they can easily be shared among four people or enjoyed as a main course on their own. I’m especially a fan of their ceviche and parihuela. And the margarita… wow! It’s dangerously good, truly to die for. What a fantastic addition to the local culinary scene!

Having wanted for a Mexican restaurant closer by than Amsterdam, we were delighted by the opening of Nixtamal.
To make a long story short, the food is amazing. A personal favourite from the starters is the fish soup. This gives you the warm and welcoming feeling of comfort food from another home than your own. I cannot recommend it enough if sea food is something you enjoy.
From the main courses, I’ve continued my sea food adventure with the salmon, which is equally as good.
If Mexican food is something you enjoy, Nixtamal is a must visit if you are in the area.

Very delicious. We took the quesadilla (for my son), one plate of tacos (pork and pineapple…soo delicious), and the enchiladas mole. Restaurant looks beautiful. Staff is friendly. I wish they could have some children options (nothing in the menu). And if you start delivering, I think we would end up ordering very regularly.

Very nice place – clean, neat, and well-kept. The food is tasty, fresh, and well-seasoned, with portions just right. The interior has an interesting design, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!
