High quality small plates at reasonable prices and paired with excellent service. We tried most of the appetizers and a few main dishes. Our favorites and the ones we would definitely recommend were the crudo, trout tartare, calamari and octopus (and lots of bread, of course).
That said, some dishes were less impressive. The desserts felt lacklustre (cannoli and baba tiramisu) and we didn’t enjoy the beef pasta or the cheese arancini.
Overall, a solid experience with standout seafood dishes, though not every item on the menu hit the same level.

Excellent experience at Moccione. The fried fish was great, the tartare was even better, and the squid was amazing. The pasta with mushrooms was outstanding, everything tasted fresh and made with real care. Service was impeccable, perfectly timing each dish around our conversation.
All around an excellent meal. Gladly recommend.

Moccione is an absolute standout. The food is exceptional—homemade pasta taken to a whole other level, with incredible depth of flavor and attention to detail in every dish.
Reservations are definitely hard to come by, but it’s more than worth the effort. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel genuinely welcome—warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing.
A special place that lives up to the hype and then some. Highly recommended.

Incredible restaurant. The service was excellent, quick and attentive. Every meal was delicious with a good balance of flavor, textures and nice presentations. The grilled octopus was a real delight. It was very lively in the restaurant, but maybe a touch too noisy and I think some curtains or noise attenuation panel could be good.

Had a great time at Moccione, entrees were really good, my favorites were scallop crudo and the ancestral tomatos. We also had tuna tartare and the mozzarella di bufala as entrees with their bread and it was good. We had 3 kinds of pastas and they were all really fresh and the texture was perfect. For our main protein we took the duck magret and we shared everything. We ended the evening with their tiramisu and canolis! Highly recommend if you want fresh italian food

Restaurant Moccione is an Italian restaurant with outstanding food, top tier service and relaxed and warm atmosphere.
Every dish we ordered was unique and delicious. My favourite was the Suckling Pig Skewer. The mix of sausages and roast pork was cooked perfectly and the broth’s flavour was very earthy and so tasty that we asked the waiter for more focaccia so we could clean our plates.

Went twice and it was undeniably delicious, but a bit pricey and maybe a tad bit overrated. My main disappointment are the portions, maybe I expected more for the price but I understand why it’s highly adored, everything is perfectly executed from the sauce to the texture of the fresh pasta… Really can’t deny how the flavors were on point, but for the price I am not inclined to go back. There’s a reason this place is considered by locals as one of the top places in Montreal. The menu is incredibly original and inventive. The food is prepared immaculately and all the ingredients are fresh. A visit here is certainly on the pricier side but if you enjoy tasting quality food and trying new types of ingredients, it is certainly worth it (if you can get the reservation!). I definitely recommend ordering 2-3 appetisers per group of two in addition to a main as the portion sizes are on the smaller size, but this definitely just allows you to try more dishes!
