We had an amazing experience here on the evening of Presidents’ Day (Monday). I wish I remembered our servers name because she was wonderful. Our appetizer (garlic cheesy bread with marinara) came out very fast and it was delicious. The crust was perfectly crunchy and soft on the inside. I had the jam burger with the goat cheese and Cole slaw on the side. It was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. My boyfriend had the fried chicken sandwich with fries. We got the Nashville hot sauce on the side and glad we did because it was pretty spicy. The sandwich was perfect without it! Cause wait to visit again when we come to the area next year.

Great atmosphere and even better beer! They have multiple well preserved BBT storage tanks and in the back too that look great. Expect to wait in line though. Prices where too bad but they could be relative. Probably one of the best French fries in town due to its seasoning.

What a perfect neighborhood experience! Took home half the small nachos cause they’re so filling. Had the tomato bisque with the grilled cheese that also had slices of crispy bacon and fresh jalapeño slices in it. I’m in love with their nitro stout and their double bock is really good too! Second visit I listened to the bartender, Nathan’s recommendation to try the bison burger and OMG it is fabulous! Plus this place is just beautiful as you can see with the video!

We’ve been here before and as it has been the food and beer was good. Not sure why, the coleslaw just didn’t hit our tastebuds right. I’m thinking it was just different than we’re used to. The patio was a change for us and pleasant. The service was pleasant and prompt as well.

My pulled pork was dry, super fatty, lacked sauce, and tasted like it was warmed up from yesterday. My old pork must have been barely warmed up because it came out cold. My fries also came cold, and I quickly discovered it was not worth it to upgrade to truffle fries. They taste terrible. Save your money. The drinks were okay, but I’d go elsewhere.

My wife and I were here a couple of months ago. Stopped in on our way to Seneca Allegheny casino. We had such a wonderful experience with Nathan the bartender the last time there we had to visit again. He is so knowledgeable of all the products available and a super nice person. EBC is very fortunate to have him. Weather permitting ( we live 1 1/2 hours away) we will definitely be back. Also would like to give a shout out to the hostess ( tall girl) that brought a extra chair to the bar so my wife and I could sit together.

The atmosphere here is amazing and the patio incredibly relaxing, I’m still struggling with the consistently overcooked food. Despite repeated visits, it’s a persistent issue for my taste. For instance, the roast beef I had was dry and very well done. On my last two visits, I ordered burgers medium-rare, but they both arrived well-done. It seems I just can’t get my food prepared to my liking.
On a brighter note, the fresh-cut fries are definitely worth the extra $2 – they’re delicious! And if you’re a fan of mac and cheese, it’s a huge portion and comes highly recommended as delicious.
UPDATE 2024: We returned and had a better experience for sure. The patio was open and it was a perfect day. Our server cold not have been more pleasant. The medium rare burger was cooked to medium well, but outside of that it was wonderful and we would certainly recommend. The blueberry beer is always a must try when you are there (IMO).
Stopped in on a rainy a Friday night. Great atmosphere and location right in the heart of Ellicottville. We were hoping to enjoy the patio, but the weather prevented it.
We ordered drinks, appetizers and dinner. The EBC blueberry is outstanding. Easy to drink and served with blueberries. The pretzel for an app was really good. The pulled pork was disappointing. With the BBQ sauce was good to very good, but most of it didn’t have any sauce and without it, it was moist but bland. We have had good food previously, so it may have been an off night.
Service was slow throughout the evening, often having to get out of our seat to find our waitress, who disappeared for 15 minutes at a time. It was not overly busy either. Servers at adjacent tables were not helpful as it was not their area. Plates were not cleaned when meals were finished etc.
We will return and hope it’s improved next time! This time it truly missed the mark for us.

Amazing. The kitchen was out of ShortRibs so they let us add steak to the risotto. It was amazing. Calysta was amazing and friendly. I love that they have 1911 on tap.

First time here and absolutely loved the atmosphere! Must sit on the patio during the warm months and enjoy a cold beverage!! Kids pizza was a hit with both kids and my son got the Bavarian and almost ate the whole thing. Fries had a little too much seasoning trying to make ok fries better. The chicken caprese sandwich was freshly made and full of flavor!!

The food was outstanding! We ordered the garlic bread, watermelon salad, and the chicken caprese sandwich. Everything was great. Their house alcoholic beverages were also awesome. The lemonade was made in house was so refreshing. We took a 6 pack of the canned seltzer home. The staff was very polite. It did not seem like there was enough staff. The inside had no air conditioning. We went on an 80 degree day, and it was actually cooler to sit outside under an umbrella. The garden/landscaping was beautiful, but frankly, I was too hot to enjoy it. There were bugs everywhere. I know that is part of sitting outside, but a visit from an exterminator would probably make dining on their patio more enjoyable for all patrons. The fresh and unique food and drinks made this a positive experience.
