Delicious food! Everything we had was packed full of flavour, cooked beautifully and well presented. The atmosphere was very chilled and the staff were lovely. Sadly we aren’t local but would definitely love to come back again!

Of the 6 restaurants we’ve been to in Cornwall over the past week, this was without question the best one.

Food wise, everything was on point from start to finish. The crab fritter was well balanced and clearly used good quality ingredients. The steak tartare with aioli was sublime, the pork with fennel had an excellent flavour combination and a good size portion of pork. The chocolate mousse dessert was exactly what you’d want from a chocolate mousse.

The restaurant is well presented and I loved watching the open kitchen.

Service was prompt and friendly, and they gave me the classic dessert with a sparkler and candle in it as it was my birthday, which was a nice touch.

The only thing I would say could be improved is the drinks menu. Unless you drink wine, the options are quite limited and the mocktail, the cider and the non alcoholic beer were all just okay, not particularly good.

However, overall it’s a brilliant restaurant and I would definitely go back.

Brilliant.

Have been looking for a new favourite restaurant after our old one in Porthleven changed hands. This was fantastic.

Crab fritters were as good as others have said. The haddock soufflé, pork tenderloin and mashed potato were packed with flavours. Really well thought through, as everything on each dish worked beautifully together.

I don’t even like fennel but the caramelised fennel with that incredible creamy mash..good grief.

Dessert – chocolate mouse- wasn’t quite as special but still very good.

The staff were really friendly and it was great seeing the chefs at work.

We also enjoyed the intimate atmosphere, it being a small restaurant.

Look forward to going again.

A lovely cosy restaurant tucked away in a beautiful mews. Delicious food and attentive staff. Everything was beautifully cooked and plated, especially the beef tartare and the monkfish. We had a lovely dinner and will definitely recommend to friends and family

Had a brilliant Birthday dinna there last night, utterly amazing food, locally sourced and unpretentious. Menu of dreams with new dishes popping up as well with two courses for £29 fantastic value, I had the Plaice and my all time favourite Rice Pudding with blow torched apple finish-knocks Rick Stein out of the park (sorry to say that but its not what it was 10 years ago). The Chefs are so friendly open to answering any questions and sharing knowledge as are the rest of the staff and customers who go there are also very friendly (great vibes)-would definitely come again (lock up your home made bread and butter haha) x lots of creative shops and bars etc on that strip as well.

What a great restaurant! Really really good food, the more I think about it, the more I realise how good it actually was, like genuinely outstanding food, creative, simple and full of flavour. The menu is small but packs a punch with its options, covering all your vegan/veggie and GF needs, producing such beautiful looking dishes. The chefs are loving and charming, down for a chat with any interested customers, and you can otherwise feel free to admire their work via the open pass. It gives the place a real sense of togetherness, especially considering how it only seats roughly 20. We had a slight issue with our server, treating a disagreement over what was ordered (including meat being handed to a vegetarian couple) with a little frustration, but other than that they were attentive and kind enough. If you’re debating going out in Falmouth, go because it’s lovely, but really consider ending the evening here with a top quality meal. Great stuff

After visiting a few years ago we came back to Restaurant Mine and were even more blown away than our first visit! We had the crab fritters to start, which were also a winner last time (definitely recommend!). The waitresses were lovely and attentive and always ensured we were taken care of. The food was sensational and we couldn’t recommend Restaurant Mine enough!!

15 out of 5 if I could

These chefs seriously know what they’re doing.

We spent a week eating in Falmouth at the best places we could find at all price points and this was hands down the best place in both food quality and value, and one of the best we’ve ever had in the UK. ✊

Unreal food, carefully balanced, presented with finesse. Every dish was perfectly cooked.

Open kitchen presents a lovely vibe, the staff are really incredible, tentative with their knowledge of the drinks and food.

Seriously this is a 15 out of 5 must visit for Falmouth

Top tip: check out Chintz next door for a pre or post drinks, super cool bar
