We were looking forward to having some Thai food and the night started off great. We were greeted nicely and seated in a covered patio but they had heaters going and it was warm. We ordered and when dinner came my wife received the wrong order – she very politely asked for what she ordered and from then on the evening went downhill. They turned off the heater near us and completely ignored us from then on out. My wife’s meal was so bland that it was almost tasteless and that’s hard to do for Thai food – we sat for over 20 min with our jackets on and then actually had to walk out and pay at the bar – no apologies, no acknowledgement. If you want to pay over 200€ for bland noodles and to be ignored go for it but there are many better options in Crans Montana!

Le Thaï was one of the best dinners we had in Crans-Montana. My friend is now fully converted to loving Thai food. We had the most traditional Pad Thai with chicken and added HUGE shrimp and it was superb. My friend had the Crispy Lemongrass chicken along with fried rice(slight upcharge) and found it delicious. We almost went back a second time on our three day trip!

Hope the management can learn about Asian F&B servicing if one is to run an Asian cuisine establishment. Firstly, no sharing plates were provided on sharing appetisers; secondly, both the manager and the waitress were debating against our choice of dish; being Thai ourselves I believe we know what we ordered?! Overall lack of attentiveness in servicing and throughout the meal we only see the service team taking turns to go out for cigarettes.

I’ve been here several times, never had a complaint.
But while making a reservation for tomorrow i had to enter my card details which they seemingly can use whenever they want to charge me something.
That is not done.
Charging 100 CHF for a no-show? Even here that’s excessive.
Next time I will try to plan ‘better’ and avoid Le Thai.
Now I have to watch what happens with my card since they can charge me without my approval.
Whatever provider they use to store my card number is not mentioned, that is also a security risk.
The confirmation you get also kind of reminds you that they will rob you if you don’t show up: Suite au dépôt de votre empreinte bancaire, nous avons le plaisir de confirmer votre réservation
*edit after a year or so (19/02/2026): wanted to make another reservation but i didn’t make one. reason is the restaurant doesn’t mention the rules for their 50 chf/person reservation they make. I don’t want to risk being robbed if i cancel a reservation a week before because they can since there are no rules.
