Highly recommend this restaurant: during our 7-day ski trip over Christmas, we visited it 5 days in a row. Enjoyed après-ski drinks and dinner. The food is excellent with generous portions, and their signature cocktail, le cocktail de La Chouette, is a must-try. The attentive staff deserve a thumbs up .

This is our favourite place for galette and crepe in Les Menuieres and we come back every year. This year was no exception and it didn’t disappoint. Delicious food, lovely friendly staff and very sensibly priced. Book ahead if you can though as they get very busy!

In general it was below my expectations. The food was not tasty. However I was not sure whether it is a restaurant problem or a problem of French cousine 🙂
We ordered the following:
– Duck foie gras with mixed berries. Foie gras itself had a taste of a pate from a tube from an ordinary supermarket. There were 3 slices of foie gras having correct cylindrical shape. So it really looked like something that was taken from a can and sliced. With a berry jelly it didn’t taste well at all. So this was the main dish I wanted to try in France, and I was really disappointed.
– Pumpkin soup with Beaufort cheese and crispy bacon. This was very tasty. From the other side, I have never eaten a non-tasty pumpkin soup )
– Tartiflette. Was quite ok’ish, but nothing special.
– Croziflette. Was too dry, it was hard to eat it with a spoon.
– Sweetbread fricassée with morels, small potatoes, yellow wine sauce. My wife really liked this dish. For me it was also ok. The meaty part was tasty, the potato part was not salty enough, and the mushrooms we had hard time to find. Overall, in my opinion the proportion of meat and potato or the size of potato was not proper. It was impossible to put all tree parts (potato, “sweetbreads”, and invisible mushrooms) on the same spoon to taste the dish.
– Beef steak with French fries (children’s menu). It was not a steak but more like a burger. I think there might be an error in English version of the menu
– Mont Blanc dessert. My child who ordered it could not finish it. Some components were either too sweet or not tasty for her.

Genuinely some of the worst food in Belleville. We had the pancakes, burgers, lasagna and tartouflette. Some of the food was burnt, which was about all of the taste in the dish. It was bland, and flatout disgusting, left me sick to my stomach. Service was good though. De ice tea was slap.

Went to a bib gourmand restaurant in St Martin de Belleville yesterday, but I ate much better here tonight. The pancakes are amazing, the duck is so tasteful, the dish of the day (king prawn risotto with truffle and emulsion of ginger) was superb. Great value for money. I am so eager to write this review that I haven’t even ordered the dessert yet.

Love this place. I am a seasonaire and go at least on e a week. Authentically local menu. well priced. The staff are attentive and lovely. The raclette and fondue are spot on and the dessert menu is the best IN les Bruyeres.

Raclette and fondue was good. Vegetable soup did not have any taste. One of us ordered a meal called Royal Burger, but turns out it is a pancake with minced meet (in the menu it was in a section of pancakes, but it was not clear at all). The staff was very friendly when they welcomed us, but then the service was much worse. They forgot to serve us potatoes we ordered and salad with fondue which is written in the menu. Then when we paid, we did not want to pay for the potatoes they did not bring, but they insisted, that they brought it to us. It was very hot in the restaurant, even before they brought the fondue and raclette machines. The interior was ok, but the paper tableware with advertisement was really out of place. We were happy when we left the restaurant.
