Good option if you want to eat something not local in Santa Cruz. Would not come back for the ramen, but they have other options that looked better. Kind and attentive staff. Possible to pay by card. They have vegetarian options. They don’t have wifi for customers there.

I heard many good things about Ken, so my spectative was high. I felt the food not was the best Japanese food. It was good enough. The fruit juice, was the best of my dinner.

The BEST most authentic sushi in Santacruz.
I’m from NY and I’ve traveled to Japan and I haven’t been able to find an authentic Japonese restaurant until now.
I’m so happy to finally be able to have good sushi again.

This is a quiet and great place, It’s in a central location.
They have a huge menu. The Ramen and the Trucha sashimi are very perfect. The service is good.

A Japanese styled restaurant with a good selection of fusion and traditional Japanese food. It can get very busy at peak lunch hours but the service is usually quite good. Price range is in the medium bracket depending what is chosen. Limited Sushi is available and the Trout Sashimi is delicious.

Horrible experience. I am vegetarian, we explained I am vegetarian, I ordered two dishes, to be made vegetarian. Chicken in my Yakisoba, when I complained the waitress argued it out with me saying it was Tofu. (I’ve been vegetarian for 17 years, believe me, I know what tofu looks/tastes like) I continued eating, frustrated, until I found another piece of chicken in my meal. My boyfriend confirmed it was chicken. We decided to leave, obviously without paying, as we hadn’t hardly touched our food that was made incorrectly. They argued it out, trying to charge us for this disaster, finally we asked for the owner. That’s when they started to listen. If you go to this horribly restaurant, and have a horrible experience (you will), ask for the owner and these neanderthals will respond well to that. Good luck, or just don’t go.

Edit: Well served dishes. They now take cash and debit or credit cards. Excellent and very authentic japanese food. No parking nearby. Decoration it’s no very japanese but who cares. Did I tell you food is amazing?

This is another great place for japanese food. Clean, little expensive, nice ambience for a familly reunion or hanging out with friends. Very well organized. Service is a little slow.
