Absolutely loved our dinner at Restaurant Calcutta! I started with the Chicken Tikka — it was perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. For the main course, I had the shrimp curry, and it was spot on: rich, aromatic, and delicious.
I originally ordered a mocktail that wasn’t immediately available, but our server — who was incredibly kind and attentive — went out of her way to get it from the bar, and I had it at the table in less than 20 minutes. Amazing service!
We were a group of six adults and one baby, and the staff was consistently warm and helpful throughout the evening. Prices were fair, the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and overall, it was a great experience. Definitely recommend!

Wow, such a disappointment. Everything that could be wrong with the taste, food or drinks was there.
The mains ordered were Sabzi handi and daal tarka. Vegetables were boiled and put straight into the butter tarka sauce straight away, giving zero flavour and taste. The vegetables used were never be part of sabzi handi. Secondly, tarka daal I would is ok. It wasn’t as spicy but that was only thing eatable. Naan and roti sizes were small compared to normal and it was hard, seems less flour was used and the intention was to save the ingredient instead. The naan and roti were burnt as well.
Lastly, the mango lassi. Goodness mine, it was just a mango puree Can used to make it. I guess they forgot what mangoes are.
Overall, such a disappointing experience of food, taste and vibe.
TND 120 was not worth at all for just few things.
I wouldn’t come back ever again.

When you think of an Indian restaurant inside Tunisia you would think that you will get extremely spicy food as both love to have their food spicy. However this wasn’t the case and it was another mildly spicy – Europeanised- Indian food outlet.
Spiciness aside the food was generally great.
This is a restaurant inside the golden tulip five star resort, so expectedly the prices were on the high side. The service was attentive and the food was nice.

Great food and service. Very good value to money. Perfect for business outings and romantic dinners.
The only problem is that there are lots of mosquitoes when we went.

Chef Subhash creates incredibly delicious food! I was genuinely surprised to find such authentic-tasting Indian cuisine outside of India, especially in Tunisia. Having lived in the US and traveled extensively, I’ve never tasted Indian food this exceptional. We ordered butter chicken, khada masala chicken, and butter garlic naan, asking for extra spice to suit my Indian palate, and it was absolutely fantastic. This will definitely be my go-to spot for authentic Indian flavors while in Tunis.

Really delicious Indian food in Tunisia. It gets really busy during dinner especially over the weekends so make sure to book. Great staff, good service and because the portions are massive they are more than happy to pack it away nicely for you. Overall I had a very good experience there and will definitely go back again.

Amazing fine Indian restaurant and clean. Friendly staff and English speaking staff. Wish they had a picture menu for more selection. Portions were smaller than your local US based mom and pops Indian restaurants.

One of my favorite places in tunis. The only down side is the location. They really deserve to be in a better place or even within the same hotel compound but by the beach.
